Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Porting my first number over a while back went great. But attempting to add a line has been a disaster.

The first number I tried to port over from Freedompop, they claim to be having porting issues. Freedompop has replied numerous times giving me the info they need to port and saying they will release the number when Sprint makes the request.

Sprint, however, every time I call in has no record of the previous calls. I get emails from them indicating they had tried to contact me about the port, but I have no missed calls, and when I call the number in the email, they have no new info for me.

Finally, fed up, last night I called with a different number to port. This one looked like it would port, but then I found out my LTE SIM is now registered "in use" as they at some point locked it to the first port that is stuck in limbo. I was then put on hold.

I've made 4 1hr+ calls to them, that each eventually ends in the same way. The rep has me on hold, then suddenly my call is ringing back into the queue, only to be answered by a new rep. I never get a call back on my callback number that I gave the first rep, and there is never any notes on the account of the previous call.

Hello all,

Successfully switched four Samsung Galaxy S8+ devices from T-Mobile! Saving lots of money! Speed is pretty good in northern VA area. I am thinking about getting another one. Any recommendation for an inexpensive device? Which carrier should I open with first and then port? Thanks to you all!

I have one issue though. One S8+ phone doesn't even have an option to turn VoLTE on and off. Other three S8+ phones have no issue. I re-activated it many times according to the tech support but, no change. I noticed the phone that is having the issue has a different Service Provider SW version installed after it was activated with Sprint compared to the other three phones. I have a ticket opened with Sprint but no progress. Did anybody experience the same problem?
That means either it is the unbranded model or you do not have the latest update installed.

Does the model number end in U or U1?
If it ends in U1, it is the unbranded model and VoLTE is not supported quite yet for this model on Sprint (should be supported soon).

You should not pretend to be your spouse.
That would not be acceptable or legal and is not the idea.
The idea is that the spouse opens the account and is legally responsible for it.
The Sprint reps are fine with you calling in for your spouse provide you are in the same room together and you pass the phone to the spouse to give the final ok. There are probably variations of that that they would accept too.

Lol!, yeah, obviosly not a good idea trying to set it up without thier consent... was more about scheduling (ie: They don't want the hassle of doing it, and best time for me is when they are not available). But as long as it's a quick "by your consent" thing from Sprint, then that's easy enough.

Thanks!

Was the second number you tried from freedompop as well? If so, perhaps porting from a different carrier (like T-mobile since they are only a $10 pay-as-you-go dealio...)

Anyway, just a thought.

Me too, but while I am not thrilled with Sprint overall, free for a year is front page worthy for as long as it works IMHO.

Sprint for free is better than any other for $30+/month !

30,000 posts would seem to agree.

Hi, I already gave you a rep, I hadn't even thought about trying to get cash back on this. What are you getting cash back on specifically, the plan, new phones? This is for the BYOD free for a year deal right? I'm just trying to figure out how you're getting cash back on something that isn't costing you anything except tax to begin with.

I currently have a family plan on Verizon, 5 phones in total. Is it better to do this online or to call in? Should these phones be on on 1 account or each phone be on 5 separate accounts? Looking for some guidance as I am seriously considering the deal. Thanks!

Tried calling the TALK-2FI number to get my google fi motog6 to switch to sprint after cancelling the fi plan. Getting a message that says they are not answering calls. Anyone know whats the deal with Google Fi customer service?

The most common cause of low speeds is not throttling, but rather a weak signal.

Possible solutions are a better phone (including HPUE), or one that allows roaming onto TMobile or allows band selection (which is not officially supported).

Of course there is no solution in some areas.
