The most common cause of low speeds is not throttling, but rather a weak signal.

Possible solutions are a better phone (including HPUE), or one that allows roaming onto TMobile or allows band selection (which is not officially supported).

Of course there is no solution in some areas.
i have 1 lg g6 on free plan & 1 lg g6 on paid plan.
i have not noticed any throttling.

when it in good area, both are good.
when it in bad area, both are bad

I agree that there is no added throttling on the Free plan beyond what is standard on paid Sprint plans above 50 GB etc.

I think that is the correct interpretation of the terms of this plan as well.

Just finished porting the remaining three lines from AT&T to Sprint from my four line family plan.

Definitely check your account once it is complete. The reps added the "Sprint Complete" insurance plan at $15/month each line. I removed those.

I do show an amount of $40.23 charges. There is absolutely NO information on what these charges are or where they came from, extremely frustrating.

Hi, I already gave you a rep, I hadn't even thought about trying to get cash back on this. What are you getting cash back on specifically, the plan, new phones? This is for the BYOD free for a year deal right? I'm just trying to figure out how you're getting cash back on something that isn't costing you anything except tax to begin with.
Yes, it's the Free BYOD plan. Through BeF, the cashback is $25 for BYOD. I'm not sure why it's giving me $100... but I'll take it. I posted an image with the cashback amount. It's YMMV. I'm not sure If I was just lucky or there was an error. I did clicked through the BYOD link.

If and when your bill is generated, there should be a detailed breakdown of all your charges here:

Ok, but there shouldn't be any charges? The first line had no charges at all and now suddenly I have $40 in charges for porting 3 more lines? It doesn't make any sense. It's not $30 activation fees because the numbers to not add up.

There'll be taxes and fees for each line, amount depends on your location. Did your bill not generate for details? How long ago did you add your first line?

Ok, your first bill with all details will be generated in about a week. You'll be able to see everything then.
For now, near the end of the wiki post, you can see what others nearby your zip code is paying in taxes and fees for each line to get a good idea of your costs.

If you did your first port online, you will get one $30 activation fee that should be refunded later. If you ported the last three lines on the phone, that fee is waived up front.

Oh, that's a good point. The first line was done online and the $30 activation fee will be credited back in a couple bill cycles.

My guess that first Bill is for one line only. $30 activation fee+$2.99 sim fee, +$2.90 sprint surcharges+ ~$4.34 government taxes+fees. The taxable amount will be higher than normal due to activation fee and sim. You should be able to view itemized charges in a day or two. The 3 lines added today won't show on bill until next month. Next bill should be around $16-20 and show all 4 lines. As mentioned $30 activation fee(from online sign up) will be credited back in 1-2 bill cycles

I saw something in one of the articles I was reading about a $100 CPA. Does that mean credit per account? I wonder if that has something to do with it? In any case you're exactly right, that makes this an even more phenomenal deal, 25 or 100. Thanks again, I tried to give you a rep, but I don't think it worked. If I get $200 credit on both lines, I'll send you a giftcard for Amazon :-)

I'm not sure, to be honest. And don't worry about it. If you can score this, then great. No need to share. I appreciate the gesture. That's all.

That means either it is the unbranded model or you do not have the latest update installed.

Does the model number end in U or U1?
If it ends in U1, it is the unbranded model and VoLTE is not supported quite yet for this model on Sprint (should be supported soon).
Thank you for the reply. The model number of the device that is having the issue ends with U which is the same as the other three that are not having the VoLTE issue. I confirmed all four devices have the same software version (G955USQU5CRK1) installed. But, only Service provider SW Ver is different on one phone that is having the issue.

Service provider SW version on the phone that is having the VoLTE issue is:
SAOMC_SM-G955U_OYN_XAS_OO_0074
[Eighteen numbers]
XAS/XAS/TMB

Service provider SW version on the three phones that are not having the VoLTE issue is:
SAOMC_SM-G955U_OYN_SPR_OO_0072
[Eighteen numbers]
SPR/SPR/TMB

I wonder what is difference between XAS and SPR...

I also noticed that the three phones displays the big Sprint logo when they are powered on. The one having the issue doesn't display the logo at all. I am guessing that somehow different service provider software was installed on the one phone that is having the VoLTE issue. I can't use Internet while I am on a phone call without VoLTE feature.

Thanks.
