Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Did you read any part of this threatened? Extending it is one in a billion. I don't think anyone is able able to extend it. Why do you think all these folks are going through the pain of parting out and putting back in with a different social or waiting 45 days if it were that easy everybody would do it

If you signed up for plan online you need to go to
Sprint.com/activatenow
to activate. See the wiki.
I signed up online and called in once I received my SIM cards and got the activation fee waived. It was easy no hassle. In St.Charles MO the service is just as good if not better than TMobile and it is only $15 a month in taxes for all my lines. Great deal!!

It is not clear to me how many accounts you have now. Do you and your wife each have accounts?

If there are two accounts now, just consolidate them onto your wife's account for now and then you can use the SSN that frees up to open a new account in 45 days and move them to the new account at that time, all before your wife's plan expires in 3 months.

Otherwise you could move the lines onto another carrier for 45 days and start over. The plan was just extended so if you do it now you can be back on at the end of Feb.

Yes, we each have an account of our own; I wish I had not done that but when I signed her up (a few months after I signed up), I did not realise this plan could be extended for another year by Sprint. I think my best bet is to move my account out to a carrier like Mint or similar and then rejoin Sprint on my own SSN in 45 days. I don't like to use another SSN even if it was my own kid's and he/she was older than 18!

Thanks for the help anyway!

When did the 50GB start?
Was it specifically labeled as a "holiday" specific promotion, or jut popped up then?
Is the 50GB per month?
While I know it can end at any time, was there an implied/intended/expected end date?
Many paid plans got the 50 GB hotspot added "in time for the holidays.". This plan was not among them. I do not think we have seen a single poster who got such a deal on this plan. I think people got confused and misinterpreted it. Remember there are people here who have family members on multiple plans, including paid ones, and therefore see promotions for other plans as well as this one in their inbox.

The only people here who have hotspot are those who joined before mid July 2018. (That included me until yesterday when I ported out temporarily).

I guarantee that the friend of another poster, who claimed to have it, is either lying or mistaken if he joined this plan after July 13, 2018.

You can do that, sure. Or you can just move your phone onto your wife's plan for the 45 days, via port out port in of course.

Either way is fine.

I remember seeing note 5 on the eligible phone list, but it seems note 5 is not there anymore. Does anyone know what carrier's note 5 will be good for this Sprint one year free plan? Thanks.

Sprint's model will be the only one.
And a Sprint phone that old will likely have been on Sprint MVNO's and if so it would take a lot of work and knowledge to get it approved.

best is to:

1. move your line to t mobile
2. next day, move the line back to wife S account
3. in 45 days, move both u and ur wife to tmoile
4. create new account with S using ur SS#
5. move both u and ur wife back to S under ur ss#

again, all this assumes u and ur wife dont mind being on the same account

edit: u cannot go from your account to your wife account.
u must port out of S to M or TM,

regardless..port out of S ...NOW

I added "via port out port in of course" to my post in case that was not obvious..
"Or you can just move your phone onto your wife's plan for the 45 days, via port out port in of course".

I thought he understood it well enough already but maybe not......he is not explaining why he is rejecting that solution so I cannot tell what he understands and does not understand.

Just to be clear, since I'm looking to buy 2 very cheap phones to start the BYOD plan....
I can upgrade both lines in 4 months to something else and keep my plan intact?
Say one of the leases, or something like that?

I have been charged $63 for porting out and porting in again, I called yesterday, the rep said that she would credit the charge to my account. I actually prefer the charge refunded back to my credit card, as I am going to port out and cancel the account and use wife 's ssn for another year, as my plan will expire in the next 2 months. Does anyone know how long it takes for the credit to show on my account? Is it instant or in a few days.? In case I don't have time to use up the credit , am I due for a refund? Thanks.
