Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

In the wiki it mentions having the iccid of your Sprint sim ready when calling for this promo, but it also says calling will get you free shipping on the sim. How can you have the iccid available if they are shipping you the sim when you activate the promo? (Sorry if answered already, admittedly I didn't read all 2000+ pages of this thread)

I guess the idea is, have it handy if you have one. Many people buy them locally.

If you don't have one and call the number ending in 8777, that's fine and they will send you one.

So I think it is just covering both cases.

I would not worry about it - you always see the worst on forums. Try the Mint forums or any other and you'll see worse. (I am on Mint right now and S8 does not have either VoLTE or Wifi Calling because ??? - well they can't figure out why - for anyone! It supposedly had it before but then.........).

Also many of these problems are readily solvable once the person understands alternatives better.

I would not worry about it - you always see the worst on forums.

It has nothing to do with free.
"I would not worry about it - you always see the worst on forums." is exactly right comintel.

if anyone wants more proof, check the google fi section on reddit so you can see how google manhandles their fi customers.

For anybody still on the fence, I just did this deal after seeing this thread for almost a year, seemed too good to be true. I did a port in from att prepaid for 2 lines, a Verizon branded galaxy s8 and a unlocked iPhone xr. First call, I set up the account and all the payment details and ordered the sim cards. Received the cards today and called them to port numbers and activate sim cards. I took the insurance option as well, didn't want to argue with the guy but will cancel tmrw. Anyway, everything was really smooth, no issues and surprisingly good customer service! Best of all, the online account details do show that it will be free until 31 March 2020 which is a bonus!

There is no list of ineligible phones.

Try the Ting checker. It gives more detailed explanations.

Many E4's were sold as prepaid-only phones and that is the most likely situation.
Thank you. The Ting checker does say it is eligible.

Ok because I see a long "Expired Eligible Devices List:" on the original WiKi towards the bottom but I'm now thinking this is solely related to the 10GB tethering limit?

You are looking at the deal editor's post #2. There is no expired list in the wiki which is post #3. As a matter of fact, the most current eligible phone list is linked to near the top of the wiki and includes the E4. (assuming that it is Sprint branded and not a prepaid model.)

You might want to review the real wiki.

The editor who wrote that post (which is not part of our Wiki) just meant that list was out of date, not that the phones on it could no longer be activated.

Ting supports two networks, GSM and CDMA. Sprint is CDMA. If it only mentions GSM, it means that it cannot be activated on Sprint..There are lots of GSM networks for it that case.

Thank you. I am calling t mobile customer service still on hold. half hour now. Are customer service represetative able to tell you the account number by phone or by email? I was not asked to provide email .So they don't have my email on file...
They maybe on to us...

Just ported to t-mobile. I asked for the account number, but the rep said I would have to call back. Called back and was told they needed to send me a one time pin number on the phone. Called back again and was told the same thing. Ugh!... told me to go to the store to get the info.

I currently have a Google Pixel thru Verizon, which has decent service in my area. Neighbors experience varying results with Sprint. If I accept this offer and insert the Sprint sim and can't get good service, can I revert back to Verizon without losing my phone number? It should take me less than a day to confirm service.

Thanks.

Sure - just port your number back out of Sprint to Verizon which will kill your Sprint account instantaneously..
Many people here port back and forth a lot for various reasons.

Here is what I was thinking...

(I have fully unlocked Iphone XR)
1. Move Primary ATT service to Esim (internal SIM)
2. Port over some random # i have from FreeUp / H20
3. Try sprint Service (Via real SIM) (disable XR Esim some how on Iphone)

OR

1. Sign up for SPRINT (port random #) with my Iphone 7 {does this phone have the right bands??!?!)

Thoughts?

I had exactly the same situation. So I told rep I don't have a physical phone because my old phone was not compatible with Sprint and I need to buy a new phone. He asked for 4 last digits of my sim and than provide me with my account#.
