Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I ported my free Sprint to T-Mobile yesterday -- When I speak w/ Sprint, they say the port is complete on their end. However, my phone is still working on Sprint service. I have account #'s and PINs with T-Mobile but not sure it's complete so that I can port back to Sprint.

With the Digital SIMs, I assume I will never know if I work on T-Mobile but that my heads up would be when Sprint service died on my phone. I've seen in WIKI that it says port is done in 5 minutes, but I am close to 24 hours (this afternoon).

Anyone had same issue?

Yes, be very beware! I had even worse than that. I called to cancel and was switched about 5 times from one CSR to another. Every time I stated very clearly that the only issue I have is to CANCEL the service. They tried to sell me something, asked the same stupid questions about the phone number and my pin. After being for 60 mins on the phone I got a gal who told me that she will help to cancel my account but... only after the end of current billing cycle .... ie in 4 weeks. I protested and asked to close the account immediately, she said that she can't do it as I have to wait for the cycle to end. She reassured me that there is nothing to worry about because I am not going to be billed for that. I called her on her BS as I know that if my account is active I will be billed for it. Then she said that my account is prepaid, I had to correct her again and even pointed at the evidence that I am billed after the month meaning that my account is postpaid! I was growing more frustrated and realized that she knows nothing I asked for the supervisor. She refused and I asked again and again, she relented but said he is very busy. I agreed to wait, she put me on hold and every 5 mins she would come to ask whether I still want to wait. Every-time I reassured her that I would and she doesn't need to check on me so many times as I will be waiting as long as my battery will last on the phone and I even if I run out of juice I have power brick to continue waiting!. Eventually after additional 45 mins I got the "supervisor" who was a very smooth talking fellow with "Indian" accent( all previous CSR were I would guess Filipino). He feed me the same BS about end of the billing cycle. I protested and pointed that if I port the number my account would be disconnected immediately and they must have an internal mechanism to do without porting out. Eventually he agreed to close the account and assured me that it will be done by the end of a day! Guess what? As of today it is still active! So I called and went through the same rigmarole and after another 45 mins of total BS and disinformation he relented and promised to close the account as of today and even stated that he would follow up with me by 3 pm EST. So to be continued.. Of course I do not believe that it will be done as promised but still what an ordeal! Lesson learned, just port the f...number out and be done with it

Porting out your number or numbers always cancels your account immediately. I'd say BEWARE when trying to sign up!! Wow it was painful at over an hour on the phone. No reason it should take that long.

If you have sprint sim still in phone and phone is still working, port has probably not gone through yet. You can try checking your number on the sprint eligibility checker.

I did 5 phones all individually a couple days ago and they all stopped being able to make calls within 5 minutes, no problems.

Shoot, so it sounds like my T-Mobile rep screwed something up. She gave me temp phone #'s on the call - Did you get these too? It seemed very odd when I talked to them to port over. I kept telling her what she needed (Sprint Acct#, PIN, my cell #'s, etc).

Both still show ineligible on Sprint checkers site.

I used the online website to port all of my numbers. Entered info and payment method and was done. Try calling 1-877-789-3106 seems to be the number for porting specialist maybe, when I googled it that's what came up

I'll warn you now, If something went wrong you may have a bit a work ahead of you not having the physical sim card. Looks like you get to try your luck with customer support.

did they make you fund your new accounts?

yes, i have 2 $4 charges from T-Mobile to fund the prepaid- on phone with different TMobile division right now. Looks like ports weren't really done. This is a nightmare but will be worth it for another year of free Sprint service.

UPDATE: 1 of my 2 numbers stopped working and shows eligible on Sprint now, so I am getting somewhere. Called about the other number and they are saying it can take up to 24 hours. LOLz - TMobile is some odd customer service.

couple of questions -

1. when my wife's unlocked T-Mobile Samsung S9+ was activated, sprint pushed a bunch of crappy apps (WTF ANDROID?!). Even things like the native dialer changed, reboot animation etc. Can this be prevented?
2. Anyone successfully use this on a Mobile Hotspot device? I know they ask for IMEI, will they refuse activation on a device like that? I was first planning on just activating on another device and moving the SIM over, but according to the wiki (and my testing) it won't just move over. you have to re-register the IMEI of the new device (why sprint, why).

My guess is so that people do not violate terms by doing things exactly like what you are trying to do

I ported from Red Pocket Verizon. ordered the Sim, tried to activate online but didn't work. So called the number on the front page. I had to give all the info and they created the account and said I should get an email when it's activated. But after waiting for an hour I called the porting Dept they did it in 15 mins, it's activated n ported from Red Pocket Verizon.

The call quality is good but the data speeds are suspect. My s9 plus is always on band 41, so upload speeds are worse. Download speeds are ok. I guess you get what you pay for. For 3$s can't complain. I had to do Carrier settings reset to get Text working.

I understand what you said. I was just warning ppl that canceling service without porting could be a huge pain in the a.. I didn't want to port as it was a throw away number for me.
