i got a sim card from the apple store - i got the SIMGLW436C.
my phone is a motorola X pure - which according ot the website in the wiki - BYOD is SIMOLW506C and primary is SIMGLW446C. not sure what the difference is between the two?
i also have a hwawei honor 5x - the wiki doesnt say what sim.
can i use SIMGLW436C on those phones?
And to address your remaining question perhaps not already answered directly by the others, either the BYOD or primary sim would be fine, but I would get the BYOD one.

But I would suggest just order the 4 in 1 kit from hodaddy's link instead as it covers all phones so you do not have to specify the model or part.

They have been making some changes to their eligibility checking. Since it shows as eligible on the regular BYOD checker, I think if you just call TeleSales 866-782-8777 to sign up it may go through. That has often been the case where it shows as eligible on the regular checker.

Also first try the Ting checker as sometimes just trying it there can clear it, believe it or not.
Telesales was helpful, I was able to sign up in 20 minutes with no eligibility problems. Although I was then transferred to an Asurion agent to help me with activation who had no idea why he was talking to me. How long should I expect for the port-in? I've already lost service on my old device but I my new device hasn't activated.

Fantastic!

Asurion is related to the Insurance so you can ignore that. Instead, use Chat or the dashboard to cancel the insurance if it was set up on your plan.

Try resets, power cycle, load profile etc. and I think you will have it activated. Or just leave it for 2 hours.

Wow that's a great experiment!

I guess TMobile just goes by the ICCID and does not check the IMEI since it would not check it for its own customers.
Has anyone else tried this? I suppose it has to be a TMo-branded phone, not an unlocked GSM phone that supports TMo bands. I might go out and buy one if I see other people confirm. Potential game-changer [smbc-comics.com].

Voice probably would not work though.(my guess - I have not tried it),

Also it might stop working.

Might still be worth it. Just open a new line on your 1YF and slap that SIM in a TMo device, using it as an HS (w/ PDANet+ if necessary). BOBW. Sounds way more convenient than futzing around with locking bands. It would have to be a relatively cheap TMo device.

you asked people to use a new SSN ?
that must be cheating ....I wish I can have new SSN..
What are you smoking?

Read the wiki.

New Ssn = new (different) member of your family or friends. Aka brand new user.

If anyone is interested, I was offered the "Sprint Drive" for "only $10 a month" when I signed up on the phone. I dunno anything about it but here it is:

https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...drive.html

Says it's "free" at the above link so perhaps the $10/month was for the "in-car 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot" data. I'm sure the devil is in the details.

I see several nyc zip codes listed in the end of the wiki that mentions around $4. I'm in Suffolk, I also pay about the same as well.
