Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I received an email from Sprint today asking me to review my purchase of an iPhone 7 Plus 32GB.

I did not purchase any phone from Sprint nor do I have that model.

I checked my account online and don't see any purchase history saying I bought a phone.

Should I just assume someone in marketing screwed up?

[I signed up for the BYOD plan at the beginning of this month.]
That's standard. Their system just thinks you got it as a new phone from them when it's BYOD. I'm still getting e-mail about the "new iPhone SE"s I signed up with way back when...

But there's one thing I could use help on please - has anyone been able to figure out how to get voice and data to work at the same time on the Samsung Galaxy S9+?

I'm usually at home or somewhere with wifi, but when I'm not...it's infuriating having to wait. Also I have a friend who wants to help me with something via video call tomorrow.Any ideas for work-arounds for that? (not sure if Skype or something could work on data only and allow a video call?)

Thanks so much!
You can do it by enabling VolTE. Sprints CDMA technology for calls will not allowe for using Voice and Data at same time. I am not familiar with how to enable VolTE on S9 but this came up in search

If you want to Port that line over you'll need another eligible phone. You can have up to five lines usually. Read wiki

Overall I've been pretty pleased. Can't beat less than $8 a month for 2 lines! But a couple things have been irritating. I just performed the steps for troubleshooting in the wiki, and hopefully that will help with data connection.

But there's one thing I could use help on please - has anyone been able to figure out how to get voice and data to work at the same time on the Samsung Galaxy S9+?

Sprint VoLTE is released for S8 in favored areas but not yet for S9. It is expected for S9 within weeks (at least for branded S9 - any carrier brand - and later still probably for unbranded S9 too).

does the boost g6 play still work?
Quote from comintel :
Reports are that this loophole was closed. People have not been able to activate these phones in recent months. One person on reddit did recently get one on but that was probably a fluke because the model information on that one got all mixed up online.
That loophole was DEFINITELY CLOSED last summer, but the question now is:

Are all those Boost G6 Play phones that got in to the qualified Sprint IMEI database during the open loophole period still eligible to re-enroll into the BYOD plan IF they and their tel. #s are ported out of Sprint AND then are taken back to Sprint for another year???

OR once taken out their IMEIs automatically revert back to the Boost IMEI database and therefore become ineligible for the BYOD plan???

Logic has it that once in the regular Sprint IMEI database, will always be there BUT with Sprint you just never know!

If anyone has taken one of those G6 Play loophole phones out of the BYOD plan and then back in for a second year let everyone here know.

Once the flag is SPCS it stays SPCS until you do something to make PLBL, right? We confirmed this during the RingPlus days, didn't we? Still, I agree that it would be nice to get confirmation from someone since I hooked my mom up with one of those Boost G6 Plays.

Yes but this does not relate to the Ownership/MVNO flag.

The Prepaid (Boost/Virgin/SPP) flags are completely separate and independent flags with their own rules.

But I agree that it will probably be similar. That is what has been the case in the past with other separate issues involving the Boost/Virgin/SPP Prepaid flags.

A Google Nexus 5 taken out of Freedompop Prepaid (PLBL) and into Sprint Postpaid (SPCS) with the help of the Literally Unlimited at Reddit changing these flags has been taken in-and-out-and-in at the Sprint BYOD plan with no issues.

The G6 Play situation is not just a simple matter of changing the flags.
The G6 Play situation is a bit different since their IMEIs were not entered into the Boost IMEI database but at the time of the loophole were eligible for the Sprint database.
They should still remain in the regular Sprint IMEI database but there is always the what if question with Sprint.

There is only the one database.

It is all just flags on the IMEI entries within that database.

Anyone know how this deal gets impacted by the Tmobile merger, when that happens?

I think this has to do with the so called FED flag.

Phone technically needs to be active with the prepaid carrier for 12 months before attempting to activate the device anywhere else.
After 12 months have elapsed, some carriers will automatically "unlock" the device, thus making it eligible to move to another carrier.
Others will require you to get in touch with their customer service team to lift the carrier lock.

Not sure if I'm remembering this correctly, but I believe in the RingPlus scenario phones that got in before the FED check would NOT work if they were removed. Adding them back did not work.
That was threatened at one point and people debated on the RP forum whether Sprint might go so far as cut off the phones if they were taken off an MVNO briefly as you described, but Sprint never actually took it to that stage.

Once a phone was allowed on MVNO's, it remained that way. And remains that way to this day. I have a number of phones in that category.

But that only concerned and concerns MVNO eligibility. Those prepaid phones were never eligible on Sprint Postpaid, and still are not. Again, I have several. Some of mine are on FreedomPop now. Another on Tello. But they cannot go on this plan. Of course I tried. Sprint has looked into it and explained that they still have the Prepaid flags set, even though they are grandfathered on MVNO's. ,
