Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

T-Mobile free activation is still available. Today I called T-Mobile and got an agent that asked to set up my new T-Mobile acct with 6 digits PIN and requested no payment. I was asked to use 4 digits pin before and request to put down $3, i believe somehow I have reached a different department today
okay. So, it depends on the agent you speak to. Thanks!

When you do it online, make sure to note your account number on the final confirmation screen. I just kept that page open while I called Sprint.
Yes, I did. The Number has been ported out and ported-in back to Sprint Smilie

Yes, I read the Wiki. Smilie Do you really have to wait until the next day to resign up with Sprint after porting out with T-Mobile SIM card? Or can I sign up right away since the port only takes a few minutes?

What about the account number? Did the agent give you one or is it the default +1 followed by your 10 digit Phone Number?

PSA: I am on the byod plan for over 18 months now. Of course I have all paid off and unlocked phones like the Moto g5, pixel XL and iPhones. I was travelling out of the country and I wanted to use the iPhone 7 locally with local number so I swapped numbers/devices within my account and swapped my Moto phone with my son's iPhone 7 which was also on my account. Data and text worked in India but as soon as I inserted a local Sim card I got a message that my iPhone 7 was locked. Needless to say I was furious and had an online chat with sprint who basically said since I had activated the iPhone 7 with a different number it was locked by Sprint and not eligible for unlocking for 50 days. It was unlocked but after a long struggle with sprint reps both on chat and over the phone.

If anyone is traveling and wants to use their phone locallyplease ensure that it is unlocked.

Is your iPhone 7 an unlocked model purchased from Apple? Or is it a sprint version?

It seems f'd up if they are locking the pure unlocked apple versions, if they are

I am glad they gave in, because they misstated Sprint's unlock policy to you the first time. What the policy actually says is: "The device must be or have been active on the Sprint network for a minimum of 50 days."
https://www.sprint.com/en/legal/u...evice.html

Since the phone HAD BEEN active earlier for 50 days, it was eligible under their policy for immediate unlock, without starting the 50 days over again. As they admitted eventually.

The sad fact is, as we see illustrated here time and time again, that many reps do not know Sprint's policies well and just guess at them a lot of the time. Or do not look carefully enough at the records, to realize that in this case the 50 day requirement was met earlier.

But you are right that it is easiest just to make sure it is unlocked ahead of time.

I meant be sure that you are logged in to your account before invoking Chat. That should give you a full set of options in Chat so that you can cancel the insurance via Chat.

You said that when you started Chat, it only gave you a menu of Sales or Orders. That would appear to mean you were not logged in to your account at the time you started Chat.

So I was suggesting log into your account and then do Chat and then you should see Chat options allowing you to get support for this issue.

But you can also call the general support numbers to cancel the insurance if you still have problems. And to ask them why you cannot get either Chat or the DashBoard working properly.

Or Chat on your phone using the App.

It might be your browser losing cookies (probably due to ad blockers). That would cause Sprint not to recognize that you were logged in and explain both problems. I would try a couple of browsers.

My dad's Moto G4 on this plan just broke, we grabbed him a warehouse deals Moto G6. If I lived in an area Sprint had service, I'd be all over this. Sprint stops working 1/2 mile before my house.
