Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I have this on my first bill:

Unlimited-Bring Your Phone Unlimited Talk, Text & Data
$15.00
Unlimited - Bring Your Phone Unlimited Talk, Text and Data. $5/line/mo up to 5 lines. (up to $60/line value free with AutoPay until 3/31/20) Requires $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount. Savings until 3/31/20; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2 and $20/mo./line for lines 3-5 with AutoPay DVD-quality streaming

This was a total disaster signing up on the phone. Won't go into it. Why would they be charging me $15? Did they put me on the wrong plan? I did a search and found another $15 charge a lot of people are getting, but not this same one I have.

That is the total equipment protection. See note 5 in the wiki. Login to your online account and use chat to have a rep remove it ASAP. Your actual phone charges should show up in a day or two.

Thanks! Finally found it! Also have a $2.99 equipment accessory charge. Any idea of what that is?

Yes saw that in wiki long time ago. And wow they were pushy on phone but I stood firm and polite. This isn't $13 charge and doesn't list equipment protection on the bill. Still the same thing?
iwheela
yes. it's now $15 and i just updated the wiki. Have them remove through chat today. If you wait then they will credit that on your next bill. And yes they sneak it in there even though you refuse it and sometimes they don't even tell you about it and sneak it in. Happens to almost everyone.

Thanks! I waited a bit before I activated the phone so thought the SIM charge was separate. Guess not.

EDIT: "Jean Luc, I see $2.99 as equipment accessory charge on the bill, I tried to check and could not find any relevan accessory on the account. However, I see that the insurance was added by the system automatically due to the new line.

Let me remove the insurance and the charges for insurance and $2.99 right now.
I also applied the credit for the charges for them."

The chat person removed both and gave me credit.

Awesome. I usually save the transcript in case any discrepancies arise later. Glad it worked out for you.

Last time i kept up with this page, the byod promotion was ending on 1/30/19. My 45 days just passed since i left sprint so I am new customer again and I can do the byod again. I noticed in the wiki Phase 7: 08/24/18 - Ongoing (Savings ends 03/31/20). So does that mean this promo is not ending on 1/30/19 anymore?

Thanks! Ha I was surprised about the credits as well! She said I'm good to go for several months! And yes, I had the transcript emailed to me.

Last thing to do is port over my Verizon number and activate my new unlocked Note 9. As bad as signing up was, I know this will be a disaster as well! Too bad you can't just swap SIM cards. Mad

Is there a minimum amount of time between a port in and out of T-Mobile prepaid? I did the port in and out of T-Mobile prepaid back to Sprint in October. Now doing the dance again, but this time, my port to T-Mobile is stuck for almost 48 hours now.
T-Mobile porting usually takes 30 minutes or less to complete if everything goes well. A few other people are also having issue porting to T-Mobile these past few weeks. Contact the T-Force team [t-mobile.com] and remind them that the FCC rules require simple number porting (wireless number to wireless number) to be processed within one business day [fcc.gov], and they should not accept the port request and let the number stuck in limbo if they can't process it within one business day. Not everyone can afford to let their number stuck in limbo, especially if that is their only number in which they may need it for any emergency situation. Hope they solve your issue soon. Make more love!
