Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I signed up for Sprint Complete under a lot of pressure. I canceled it two days later over the phone. I still see it as a part of my first bill. Anyone know if it'll get credited on the subsequent bill? I couldn't get a clear answer when I called back again.

Dont forget, as I do not think its been mentioned but you can definitely do a no credit check. Of course sprint would love to get your social for "needed purposes" on a BYOD account... but it prevents you from all future new customer offers (I assume via social). And unnecessary. Ask them to run your social as all 9's and it may have duplicate accounts come up (sharing the common 9s) but they can locate yours specifically and you can indeed get approved. If you encounter issues then its an uneducated rep, or a well trained rep and they try to minimize this scenario happening. Worst case go into a store, physically create a no credit check account with a rep and 9s for social despite what they may tell you. Get your account number and pin and promptly go home to call the 1 year free dept. They will use the account you created in store as long as nothing has been done or added or activated and its truly fresh. I then followed the guidelines to call for act fee to be waived as they completely refused online. Have all needed info ready and be personable. I encountered shockingly little resistance.

Again I suggest using chat to confirm removal and when credited. Then save the transcript for any future discrepancies. I had problems removing it through the website so a few days later I used chat to remove it. They said it will show as a credit on the next bill. . It's only been a couple of weeks ago but I'll be watching it closely.

I have bought a T mobile digital SIM from ebay and created a tmobile account today. I got my account number and PIN.

How long I need to wait for to port? Can I port immediately to Sprint? Or need to wait?

If your phone passes the IMEI check then you should be good to go. Review the wiki.

Yes. IEMI check is passed, but t-mobile account is just created an hour ago.

From what I'm seeing theres something called "Spending Limit Program Charge - $7.99 for all devices" <--- I don't get this. Ok it says "Waived account spending limit" so that's not it. and this:

Unlimited - Bring Your Phone
Unlimited Talk, Text and Data.
$5/line/mo up to 5 lines. (up to $60/line value free with AutoPay until 3/31/20)
Requires $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount.
Savings until 3/31/20; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2 and $20/mo./line for lines 3-5 with AutoPay
DVD-quality streaming

Nothing more and thank you for the replies.
Ok I looked into this further and found that there is indeed an ASL fee of $7.99 a month.

https://www.sprint.com/en/support...limit.html

However, it can be waived.

Quoting the above link:

"A $7.99 monthly Spending Limit Program charge will be added to new accounts. However, we will waive that charge if you sign up for recurring AutoPay and eBill."

So hopefully if you ensure those are set up you can eliminate that charge.

I cancelled my Sprint Complete over chat, had a transcript emailed and went back the next day to confirm it was no longer on my account. I doubt it will automatically credited if you cancelled it right away, they probably didn't remove it. You should probably chat to make sure it's removed and then ask to be credited.

Well that is quite fascinating - congratulations!

However the offer at
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/of...:1yearfree
says "Req. credit approval ....."

so I suspect they did not intend that this work.

But what the heck, a loophole is a loophole! I think your method works because this would normally be checked at account creation time, but you are creating the account separately without specifying the plan, so that offer requirement never gets checked. The online reps are just accepting the empty account you already created.

Did they set an Account Spending Limit?

THANK YOU for posting about this.

Just to add to what hodaddy said, at worst it should be prorated, so the maximum net cost should be about a dollar for 2 days use.

You can also go ahead and cancel it manually in your online account DashBoard as well if it still shows there, just to double-kill it for extra safety. This will give an email confirmation if it takes (the dialogue is tricky and you have to confirm AND then Save as well or it does not take).

That is correct. No new credit check is needed.

A port-in of a number from a non-Sprint carrier is required.

Make sure you call only the number ending in 8777 given in the Wiki. Other departments will not work.

You can use the same phone, phone number, and sim but it must already be off Sprint, either on a non-Sprint carrier or just not connected to any carrier.

Just accept the Sprint Complete plan if they push it. Cancel it later the same day via Chat.

Thanks..all went fine. Port/transfer back all done under 30 minutes.

By the way, what is the source of the statement
"...but it prevents you from all future new customer offers (I assume via social)"?
Is this stated in writing somewhere or it just something a rep said. If it is only something a rep said, I would suspect they just made it up.

If the SSN is not formally recorded on the account. I doubt it would block other accounts being created. Do they insist on knowing your SSN? Did they set an Account Spending Limit?

THANK YOU for posting about this.
For what it's worth, on the Sprint main page toward the bottom it states NO CREDIT CHECK for the $100/5 lines plan:

https://www.sprint.com/

That's new.

Yes that is new!

But the terms of that plan do not include "Req. credit approval" as do the terms of this one.

It may take Sprint a while (hopefully a long while) to realize that they are not checking that requirement of the Free Plan if you set up an empty no-credit-check account at a store, then call in to add the Free plan.

If they really intended the "no credit check" option to apply to other plans, then TeleSales would offer no credit check too.

But one might as well take advantage of it anyway via this store-account-creation route while one can! Their account records are so messed up all the time anyway that they are full of anomalies so I do not think they are going to go through and act on them once the account is up and running. It *might* also be possible to set up two accounts this way, one with your SSN and one without an SSN. Or both without SSN.

If this bypasses the involvement of the Credit Department when signing up, then dountless the commission-hungry TeleSales reps will be very happy to just push the signup through and ignore any nagging doubts they might have,
