Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

No. I ran it about 1/2 hour ago and got the report I posted. I saw that message on the report so I turned off Find My iPhone and did a factory reset. Still same problems. I'm willing to pull another report for $1 if it is useful.
I will leave it to the others to pursue further in order not to have too many cooks.

Just in case you drop off, and it is still unsolved, you may want to take it to the Apple Store tomorrow and they can fix it or give you warranty replacement I would think.....

Thanks. I'll keep at it and let you know if it gets resolved. I'm considering just porting to another provider tomorrow. My daughter can't live another day without snapchat. I've already ruined a number of her streaks.

One further thought:

If the phone had Find My iPhone on all day, then all previous testing was irrelevant and we are just starting now.

That being the case, I would get Sprint to refresh/reprovision/reactivate it.

On the dialpad, dial *# *#UPDATE#*#*

that will force it to reprovision

(or you can also go into general, then settings, then reset network)

Oh I believe you are right!

I was misinterpreting what he meant.

Well this sounds better and better.......if one can pull it off....I would caution people that this may be a YMMV situation because officially this offer says a Credit Check is required.. some reps and/or some stores may catch it...

Also an account without credit approval will likely have usage limits of various kinds.
This is very YMMV, but I was weary about the service/de-prioritization/lowest customers on the totem pole standing etc, and was not ready to get too deep. Sprint has always offered a no credit check and in fact this account was created before the 1/18/19-ish release of the current "new" no credit check option that was mentioned. I have been hesitant to share this as fearing them catching on/losing my gem of an account with up to ten lines, no credit check, free til 3/31/19 (granted, perhaps only 5 of these lines will qualify for $0/month, only time will tell). There's no need for socials/credit checks with no liability and with all the threats out there I couldn't justify it, luckily it worked well. Mind you most reps may not know of the no credit check accounts, but they exist.

If you've ever bought a used sprint phone, especially on ebay, you know SIMs can be hard to come by but are also reusable (but not always apple/android interchangeable). Save them if you come across them or finagle a free one at a location. So after a year of debate I finally decided to attempt this offer and create my account. I read the how to here and it mentioned activations charged and then credited back if done online, so no thank you. I called as advised and they were actually waived. Explained the older paid off phones did not need Sprint complete and informed the rep I had my own sprint SIM cards and had everything ready and smooth and was able to activate everything over the phone within minutes at a charge of $0. Based on what I have read here, most had a much different experience. Some tips that will save you tremendous amounts of time. The biggest one is if you start to feel in the very slightest the wrong vibe from the rep, wrong attitude, or basically anything other than smooth sailing and a semi-educated rep (since there aren't many), quickly find a reason to hang up and attempt to call back and get a different rep ideally before getting to far into the system with the prior. Most of these negative outlier experiences could have ended better with a call back or two or twenty. Most of the time things will work themselves out and the right attitude on your part goes a long way.

As advised already on here, have all info ready. IMEI, Account number, PIN, ICCID that is compatible, that will help alot, and me thinks it gives the rep less chance to look up or procure needed items (ICCID, invoicing, etc - who knows, if even, but can't hurt to facilitate their (assumably) non-commission sale/job/phone call). Thankfully sprint iphones now do voice/data at the same time so I and many others could consider the switch over. Anywho in the meantime I am happy paying my $4 a line in fees/taxes and have had a wonderful experience and would like to keep it that way, thanks sprint. You can also take advantage of everyday sprint customer benefits such as last months free pizza, and on going offers for "normal" accounts, all of which you can see in the sprint app.

Now I did have a few questions...

Mainly, and I probably should have read it first, but hopefully there is some real world experience out there that can attest to true charges/issues - After four months you can upgrade for free online? Does this mean if done per the guidelines you could upgrade to a new sprint device on a lease and pay only for the device itself monthly while retaining the $0/month per line service? (for remainder of that initial free term, of course?) Assumably (but not ideally), this would require a valid social/potential account changes if its a no credit check account, for obvious reasons, but still not the worst. All my post paid accounts have had paid off devices or BYOD so I have never actually upgraded via lease and 99% will never be doing so, but this is a seemingly generous offer if I'm understanding it correctly. So I have to wonder what, if any, are the catches? (aside from the obvious your most likely going to be adding/near forced to add $15-$19 Sprint Complete per device and being way more financially and headache-y tied to Sprint/remain a customer)

How long does a number have to be gone from sprint to come back and be considered new, regardless of account or social, just the number? 45 days? Try after 30? Is there a definite answer or can it vary case by case or rep by rep Bash?

Anyone ever attempt to somehow add/activate a watch or tablet on some type of free line with data/service? (Wishful thinking as clearly stated no, but I got us this far so who knows..Roll Eyes (Sarcastic))

Has anyone tried a Sprint Works program discount? (one $5 total account discount, if you work for certain companies and can verify) It could potentially alleviate needing autopay to get one line for the $0/month.

Which reminds me, any horrendous autopay related horror stories out there?

Are non-permanently unlocked phones eligible, such as an RSIM or other temporary method SIM unlocked phone from another carrier or it would be not eligible based on IMEI?

No hotspot or perchance Hulu work around? Wishful thinking.

In the meantime, sprint is taking some customers from competitors and at least impacting their revenue stream/subscriber base- albeit how much or what the project goals even were are unknown. but I am glad they offer it on the low. Now what other things I currently pay too much for can I drastically reduce like this....

IF this works, people should keep in mind that an account opened with Sprint stays open to accept lines for a limited time, I think it's 30 days, after which it's closed.
I don't think it's 14 days but it may be.

So, no one should do this now hoping that, say on April 20, they can use this account to add tel. lines.
It'll be long closed by then.
Correct they should not "stash" or what have you an account, as they are only good for maybe a month or so, I've heard up to 60 although lately 30(sales tactic?), and its not an ideal/smart practice. But worst case with no lines, no balance, no true credit check, no business/monetary transactions etc, and no issues or what have you (which should be the case if you just created an account but nothing else, the prior account would be able to be removed from the system and re-ran possibly hitch free and possibly not, or potentially forcing a social the second time around. And likely looking suspect and speeding up the demise of potential loopholes for the rest of us. So unless your situation requires...

I have bought a T mobile digital SIM from ebay and created a tmobile account today. I got my account number and PIN.

How long I need to wait for to port? Can I port immediately to Sprint? Or need to wait?
Skip IMEI check with tmobile, get number, $0/month internet access plan, checkout $0. Locate your account number and pin immediately and port out as you please.

Many/most of your questions are very basic and are covered in the Wiki (post 3 in this thread). Please read it because it is an outstanding collaborative effort and people have worked hard on it. It really merits being the basis of any broad discussion in this thread rather than starting from scratch with every post.

People will be very upset if you attempt to discuss so many topics without reading it and that is a shame because you contributed useful information.

Just briefly

- We have hundreds of discussions of Sprint Complete and know every in and out of it.. For most people, just take it out of expediency and later that day cancel it via Chat or your dashboard. For the few who want to stand on principle at the cost of a huge amount of time arguing, that is admirable but not practical for most.
- This offer cannot be combined with the other offers you mentioned.
- No tablets etc. Hundreds of people have tried every angle and not one succeeded.
- No hotspot (on Android you can use nevertheless use PDANet+)
- 3rd party sim unlocks do not work because Sprint checks every IMEI continually
- There is no restriction on re-activating phones, numbers, or sims on this plan. All can be reactivated immediately. The restriction is on the account holder. - the person. This plan is open to new customers only. This is enforced mainly by searching the SSN but certainly would apply where there is no SSN also. . The period is 45 days to become a new customer again after being off Sprint. Lesser periods will not work but a grand total of maybe 3 people (probably high desirability scored by Sprint's computer) were given exceptions. For all practical purposes, it is 45 days.

- Upgrade offers are worthless (with rare exceptions).

If your model is the a1784, it would not be able to be activated with sprint.
If your phone is model a1661, you can get this deal.
Check your model under Settings > General > About > tap Model

So weird thing, I had cricket and purchased a cricket s9 during their black Friday deal.$350 well I checked and it said my phone was available to port over. Ik paid 20 bucks on Ebay to u lock it. Cricket would not do it. They had to send me a special sim but reporting it's all working now. Free for 1 year with my 350 cricket s9.

Call quality on cdma is less than satisfactory. Calling plus is available in the area but sometimes people can't hear. Looks like the speed is only good for downloading but because of the upload speeds are worse call quality is bad. I turned off band 41, it some what ok. But band 25 is crowded and times it's very bad. That leaves band 26. It's somewhat ok. I guess its ok if it's not your primary line. I'm going to keep it for sometime and see.

Skip IMEI check with tmobile, get number, $0/month internet access plan, checkout $0. Locate your account number and pin immediately and port out as you please.

So the Internet Access Plan has no upfront fee?
