Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I tried to replace old iphone with a verizon pixe 3. I got the sim(516TQ) from 4-in-1 kit. When i chat with customer service, they cant do it. When i went to corporate store, they cant add. Am i supposed to talk to special telesale directly to add the phone's imei to their system? Thanx.

The Free plan is only valid for Phones. You can buy pdanet for $7.95 or you can research your phones on how to configure for tethering undetected.
Otherwise unlimited paid plans are available for watches($10), tablets($15), mobile hotspot ($50 or $30-10GB), Sprint drive($25 or $10-2GB) devices.

Try running imei through ting and tello byod checkers they can sometimes push into sprint database.
Then recheck sprint checker here.

Thanks, edog11

I follow the 2 steps above and I was able to swap device online. it simply says "Pixel 3 Open market" in the description after I swapped it.

Take care.

What's the reason they can't add a Pixel 3?

online chat said my phone wasn't something that sprint carry so i need to go to corporate store.

i went to corporate store and the person said he tried to swap my device with new IMEI and ICCID but the plan isn't offered by the system and it displayed error message. I didn't remember what the error message was when he showed me the screen. he picked no change in plan so i don't lose mine.

anyway. i dont know if corporate store's attempt help or edog11's suggestion helped. but something helped and i was able to activate the line tonight where last night i couldn't activate by myself.

Before I pull the trigger on doing this, I wanted to confirm I was doing everything right. I was able to unlock my galaxy s9, checked on Sprint that the phone is compatible. ordered the compatible sim card. Came in the mail today. Now I guess I just call the 866-782-8777. Ask for the free 1 year promotion. Then give the guy this info

1) My Phone's IMEI #
2) My Phone #
3) My Account # and PIN #
4) The ICCID# of my new Sprint Sim card

Question, do I need to activate this sim card in advance with the online link I was given or will the guy do that over the phone. Should I put the sim card in my phone and then call from a different number or is it okay to call from my cell and then after the call is over, switch the sim card? Thanks for the help. Any other steps I may be missing?

Just to clarify, did you follow these steps and get credit approval

Go to sprint.com/1yearfree and confirm your phone's eligibility
Make sure to have your phone handy, you'll need it
If your phone is not eligible for this promotion, it still may be of value. You may be able to trade it in toward a new or pre-owned Sprint phone.
Make sure your phone is unlocked
If you're with Verizon it's already unlocked
Get started! Complete our easy online process.
You'll need a SIM Kit. We'll ship you one (SIM card is $2.99 ea. and $10 shipping & handling + tax)
Once you receive it, go to sprint.com/activatenow to complete your activation

OR, did you use a separate link to order the appropriate sim card

Is it possible to activate via the link online if I already have the correct sim card on-hand? I started the process, but it's charging $3 for the sim and didn't see where I could remove it.

No. Save the 3.00 and use the telesales number in the wiki.

Ya I hear you, lots of good people here and they are more knowledgeable and are better troubleshooters than a typical sprint rep.

No I didn't do the credit approval yet. I haven't called the number yet. I used the online link to order the SIM card and it just arrived. I really just need to know if I should call the number first or activate the SIM card first online. And then what are the steps after that? Do I put the SIM card in the phone and call them from a separate number?

You must call the number in the wiki. They will tell you when to insert the sim Be sure to tell them you are using the phone number you're porting in. Review the wiki again before calling.
