Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Cheapest would be TMobile Prepaid and there are voluminous details on how to do that in the Wiki.

Fastest is debatable.

You need port only the number. It is not necessary to activate the phone itself elsewhere at the interim number-porting step.
followed the wiki. IMEI is not working for t-mobile. i am from east coast USA just to be clear

Just use any imei for tmobile.

It does not matter.

They do not do anything with it except check that it would be "valid" for their service. You do not need to involve the phone at all at this stage.

Its been almost a year since we signed up under my wife's SSN and so I'm getting ready to do this again with my SSN. I'm starting to reread this thread to find the answers but hopefully a kind person can tell me if this plan will still work as it did last year.

1. Get a google voice number, pay to allow it to be ported out. If I remember right the pin is 0000 or 00000.

2. Call in to the 800 number to sign up for the free BYOD plan, say I'm porting from google and I already have sims.

3. I have an old cracked Galaxy S7 that hasnt been activated in 6+ months. My wife is currently using an iphone 6 on her free Sprint BYOD plan. I was thinking of either swapping her phone for an old LG G2 I have in a drawer and activating the iphone 6 a few days later on my new free account or activating the G2 on the new free account. But since the iphone 6 is/was on the list of accepted devices I thought it best to activate it on the new account when I call in to set it up.

Will this plan work?

Does the non-sprint SE not roam on T-mobile LTE? That would be disappointing because I planned on using it. Unless T-mobile is also bad at your locations.
No it doesn't, just bands 25 and 26, I checked my phone to see what bands it was using. I think on the Galaxy S8 and S9 roam on T mobile bands.

It'll definitely be a downgrade from an S8. I'd prefer the Z2 to an X4. Z2 has Snapdragon 835, very good battery life, bigger screen etc etc. Only negative is the easy to scratch screen. Had to put an armor shield screen protector on it right away.
Thanks! I was thinking the Z2 was better. And thanks for the heads up about screen protector.

Sorry in advance, can't search on app, but have a friend who needs to park a boost Mobile number for a few months (porting to Google is another option), would it be possible to port it to Sprint (I know it's the same network, but just wondering)? Thanks.

Need help. Have been trying to add a line to my account which already has 1 line on the BYOD plan. Got disconnected 3 times during the porting process for the 2nd line and never received a call back. Not sure if the porting has completed or not as the call got disconnected. Now I see an Invalid SIM message. The phone is an unlocked iPhone 7 purchased from Amazon. The IMEI passed as eligible on the sprint website and even the rep confirmed that. The line that I am going to port over is on the T-Mobile prepaid plan that I activated using the digital T-Mobile sim from eBay. The sprint sim in the phone has been used previously on a different line.

Can someone please let me know where the problem might lie ? The phone, the Sprint SIM or something else. Will call Sprint again later tonight.

Can't port in directly from boost.

Seems like the sim is still married to a different phone.
See wiki post on how to obtain a new sprint sim for your phone.

Do I have to let Sprint know that SIM was used previously on another Sprint line for them to make an update on their system ? Or do I have to get a new never used SIM ?

If the old phone was never formally and completely deactivated, they cannot release the sim for reuse.

Also is it the correct sim part number for the new phone?

It does not have to be never-used but it does have to meet the above conditions. So it may be easier to use a brand-new sim rather than check and ensure it meets all the conditions. And yes you do have to give them its ICCID.

You cannot just move the sim.

Also iPhone 7 T-Mobile/ATT Models are not supported if it is one of those. And it cannot be locked to another carrier. The checker might not catch some of these.
