Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I heard this from my friend but just wanted to get any confirmations from here...
lets say I have a phone which is compatible with this plan and bought the sim card and then activate it on the same phone...later we can use the same sim in ANY phone as long as it is unlocked (may don't need to be compatible phone) and it will work. I was not able to believe it, but my friend said he done that before.
Apparently Sprint doesn't work that way but I still want to try myself. On Verizon, non-certified phones will work for data at least, as long as they have at least one compatible LTE band and you put in the right APN settings.

Yeah it works on Verizon and does not work on Sprint.

You can *never* just move a sim on Sprint to move service with it except by updating the account.

Sprint validates by IMEI, not primarily by ICCID.

If I was Sprint I would take money if someone was paying it.
Was going to add an S10 line if a deal was good enough and then put S10 on free line for 50 days to unlock it.
Sprint has said in the past when this happened that they are concerned about the potential for fraud when a line is not used.

They have an open line of credit sitting there on that approved account that could eventually be used to order expensive iPhones etc. They get nervous that someone could hack or misuse it if there is no sign that anyone is actually there.

The person asked only about iPhones: "Does Sprint have VOLTE for iPhones yet?"

But yes, no harm adding that S10 and S8 (of which I have one) also has VoLTE and so do quite a few other Androids with more coming!

All you sinners repent. The end is near!!!

Get in while you still can. This deal WILL end soon.
The Sprint - T-Mobile merger looks like it'll be approved in the next 60 days or so. From the article in the link below:

"The Commission typically completes its merger reviews within a 180-day window, and will resume its "countdown" on April 4. leaving less than 60 days to approve or reject the planned combination of the nation's third and fourth largest carriers."

April 30 is an optimistic end date but this deal may end as soon as around April 4th or as soon as the FCC resumes its merger case review.

Need more info to help. What's not working? What kind of phone? Have you tried the basic troubleshooting steps from the wiki post, faq #8?

Do a carrier reset:
Depending on the phone enter in the phone keypad:
For Android phones:
*#*#72786#*#*
or
##72786#
or for iPhones:
##873283#

Look here:

https://support.freedompop.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3017/~/carrier-reset-settings%3A-%23%2372786%... [freedompop.com]

You may also try profile update in the phone's settings.
If all fails call Sprint CS at 1-800-SPRINT1.

I highly doubt that. For sprint you still cannot do that. It works for Verizon as they use LTE for voice and text, sprint still doesn't have completely switched over to LTE for voice.
Ok, thanks man

Sprint customer service is horrible! It took me almost 2 hours to go through the credit check to qualify for this deal. But when I received the sim and tried to activate it, the customer service tricked me $30 fee. Then a month later they sent me another bill of $30!

Never want to deal with Sprint any more!!!!!

It should be the same $30 amount. All activation charges will be credited back in one or two billing cycles automatically as per the terms of the offer listed on their web site, but since you are worried about it you can Chat online to get reassurance that it will be credited back.

By the way, if you had done it in the way suggested in the Wiki, you would not have been charged it in the first place.

None of those other settings would matter.

I think they will get Roaming working for that model. I suspect what they did is take some temporary shortcuts in the PRL's that only work properly on the branded model. A whole bunch of phones are soon to be enabled for VoLTE. Roaming and band usage is all mixed up in those plans even though they are theoretically separate issues.
Where should we look to see if the unlocked Samsung Note 9 is finally enabled to roam on Tmobile when using Sprint?
