Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sounds like the s8 may have been on sprint or a sprint MVNO in the past? If so, there's ways of easily getting it Sprint eligible again.
Try running the imei at https://ting.com/byod
It's been known to push it back onto sprints database upon checking. Then try checking again with sprint from the previous link.
Also see wikipost for some solutions and faq #3 for other info.

Sorry if this has been answered before. Hard to tell with 2400+ pages. I spend a lot of time outside the country (frequently one to two months at a time then back in the country for a month then gone again for a month or two) , and currently have t-mobile due to the free global roaming data. After I heard that t-mobile started banning accounts for roaming excessively without being back on the t-mobile network, I started keeping the phone on airplane mode sometimes and using wifi to limit the amount it roams internationally while I am gone. Will Sprint allow roaming to this degree (one or two months at a time), and will they suspend the number for inactivity since it isn't on the Sprint network for long periods (but is roaming)?
I was out of the country for 6 months using t mobile roaming extensively before I got a threatening text. I don't think 2 months a time will be a big issue.

Honest review forthcoming... don't troll.

Went from AT&T to Sprint because of this amazing deal. Let me start by saying that THE SERVICE IS WORTH WHAT YOU ARE PAYING. However, if you expect no dropped calls, almost a lack of data inside buildings, horrible WiFi-to-non-WiFi call transferring mid-call, spotty voice quality and lack of VoIP in all markets, Sprint is not for you.

With that said, Sprint Rewards makes this deal even juicier than it already is. For me, though, Sprint practically paying us for the service net/net (Fandango code, Starbucks $5 and Amazon $2), is still not worth it. I rely on my service to take calls and be on conference calls for work when traveling and Sprint does not cut it.

To each their own but I'm Sprint-ing to another carrier.

If you gather enough details and post them in full detail we will be able to help you get it working.

Please test again on Ting and copy paste the full exact wording of the results.

S8 is eligible - that is not the issue. The problem is something specific about this particular phone and we can figure out what it is and get it on once you post enough information. We need a lot of details as to the background of the phone, what carriers it has been on in the past, as well.

By the way, all updates need to be on. Is it up to date on updates?

It says its compatible to ting. It's been on tmobile only and it's updated.

It depends on the exact wording which is why I asked you to post the exact wording.

Does it refer to it being compatible with BOTH Ting networks (GSM and CDMA)?

If not, it is implicitly saying it is not compatible with Sprint's network.

The most likely reasons are that it is not unlocked (despite the fact that you think it is) or the latest updates are not on.

Does it say in Settings in the phone "unlocked for any sim / all carriers". If not, it is not unlocked. The unlock may have been tried but it failed. Get it unlocked to the point that it says that and it will go on.

That is an S8+ international, so not approved by Sprint. You'll need different phone.

My current free year ends on 5/31. Is it too late for me to port out my Sprint lines, then port back in to start a new free year?
