Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

My current free year ends on 5/31. Is it too late for me to port out my Sprint lines, then port back in to start a new free year?
Assuming an early April cutoff as per the SD article, yes it is too late UNLESS you get someone else to open the new account under their SSN, OR you have confidence in your ability to get a rep to make an exception to the 45 day rule.

That's odd I got it in a department store, Didnt think they'd sell international.
Some stores like bhphoto may sell them but they have no US warranty. I think bhphoto has 1 year warranty through them but not US Samsung warranty.

I have a very different experience with Sprint. I live in middle of nowhere, zip 69101. Sprint has extended LTE coverage. Call quality is amazing, even gets call inside building away from window, locker rooms. LTE speed is not fast, range from 2.3 to 3 mbps download and around 1 mbps upload, enough for me to watch tv episodes on YouTube in my gym while using treadmill. I am very glad that I switched to sprint from Verizon. Once free year is up, planning to switch to $25 unlimited.

Purchased preowned iPhone 6S+ from Boost and received today evening. It is in good condition with Sprint SIM . Checked IMEI in Sprint and it moved to select the plan page which was green signal instead of any validation msgs. Noted the SIM # along with IMEI and called wiki mentioned 8777 and 10 mins in queue. Reached rep and gave the IMEI and it passed IMEI check on her end and she asked the SIM# and port in account no and pin. 5 mins on hold and she told it will be activated with in one hour and call was over less than 30 mins to add new line on my existing free plan account. After 10 minutes, line is activated. Rep called after 1 hr and she asked how is the network and internet. Main thing we need to consider is we don't want to add any production plan or iPad. Everything was went fine today. Thanks a lot to all experts here👍.

Mine expires in May. I want to buy a new iPhone before that where is the slickest place to buy it? (Currently have a iPhone 6s wouldn't mind committing to an iPhone 8 or above)
I prefer a 6s over anything else.. It has a headphone jack...and home button...and no notch!

As long as you are bear in mind you need iPhone 8 or higher for VoLTE and simultaneous Voice and Data on Sprint.

I had this plan until Sep 2018 when I ported out all lines. However, I forgot about the magic box that was on my account. Turns out my account is still active because of the MB. Am I out of luck on getting this plan since there's not 45 days between now & Apr 4 (rumored last day of sign-up)? Any advice would be appreciated. Even advice on how to construct a search string to query 36k posts in this thread would be equally welcome (I did try these search strings: "magic box active", "account kept active", "get around 45 day" without luck)FrownFrown

I think you will be fine because they will likely not be concerned over a mere technicality.
I would say just call in and sign up, explaining the circumstances.
The account often gets left open for one reason or another and they are used to handling that manually. That happens all the time.

I would suggest, just go ahead and do it.. Do not wait though.

I do not expect this, but If they refuse to do anything about the account while the Magic Box is still on it, then you can port out its number to at least kill the account instantly without waiting for the plan month end and shipment back. I have ported it out this way twice to kill the account quickly. It is not obvious that you can do this, but you can.

Works on all carriers. Which phone (including part/model number) do you have?

Do not buy AT&T, T-Mobile UNLOCKED Iphone 7 or 8 (+). Those phone do not have SPRINT network frequencies.

do the simple one, T-mobile .
it cost $6.xx per line. but can be done easy as 123. Hope you read it wiki.
let me write it here again.

Before you start -
Know Sprint Acct # and PIN#
The device IMEI
TMobile: SIM CARD #

Then
1. go to ebay and find tmobile sim card (un used of course). E delivery only. (less than $3)
2.Once you receive, go to Tmobile pre paid sim card activation page
3. activate it with porting in from your sprint.
4. You will have to prefill min. $3. required.
5. Once it is done, write down T-mobile Acct # and PIN #.
6. You dont need to take your sprint SIM CARD from the current phone. Just leave it there.

if you are done it correctly, it should be in 10 mins.
but to confirm, log into Sprint to check your number does not show.
if you don't see it, then the port out is done.

or Go to Sprint BYOD 1 year free site and enter your device IMEI and phone again.

Everything is ready?

Before you start -
Know TMobile Acct # and PIN#
The device IMEI
Sprint: SIM CARD # (the one you were using).

Call Sprint BYOD # (check wiki) then open with your wife/friend/father or mother or anyone who didn't have a Sprint acct.
answer the questions..

you are all set !
Thanks - I don't care about my number though as I use Google Voice as my primary cell line. I was hoping to avoid any costs all together by going straight from another burner GV number directly to Sprint, but was trying to figure out how to re-use my SIM. Wondering if I need to cancel my current line, wait X amount of time, then call back signing up under a new name with my burner GV account. Thoughts?
