Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Advice please. Last time I had some porting problems that made the switch problematic. Now is not a good time for me to mess with the swap. I'll either be out of the country or on call/swamped at work up to the deadline. Will this plan work?

Currently have the BYOD plan Sprint with phones active that are not on the list. Expires in May. But, I have a couple old phones on the list that pass the IMEI check. I want to use a burner Number to sign up with these junk phones using wife SSN.

Then later in April, I want to port my old good numbers into my new plan. I would port them out to TMobile or Google Voice then into the new plan that I started in March.

Will that work? I know Sprint used to allow porting a number in after the fact, but will it work with this plan?

I just upgraded my phone on tmobile, planning to switch to this plan after I get my rebate. Any idea on how to get this plan before it expires on 04/04? Thanks.

The T-Mobile sim card from Net10 package does not work for me to transfer to T-Mobile. It says invalid sim card.

Thanks - I don't care about my number though as I use Google Voice as my primary cell line. I was hoping to avoid any costs all together by going straight from another burner GV number directly to Sprint, but was trying to figure out how to re-use my SIM. Wondering if I need to cancel my current line, wait X amount of time, then call back signing up under a new name with my burner GV account. Thoughts?
Sprint Sim card is re-usable. you can use the current Sprint SIM Card again instantly once your number ported out.

(I didn't even take it out when i was doing it via T-mobile.)

if you don't want to take a risk, open now.. if you will get upto 5 lines.
I think you can port in anytime as long as you have the BYOD acct.

so open now with one new number or whatever.
then port in after rebate.

So is T-Mo the best bet for me to get a cheap line that I can port in? Or can I use Google Voice?

Also, my main question is how do I disconnect this sim card from my current account? cancel the line then sign up for the new one? Again, I don't need to port out to save any number

I have a very different experience with Sprint. I live in middle of nowhere, zip 69101. Sprint has extended LTE coverage. Call quality is amazing, even gets call inside building away from window, locker rooms. LTE speed is not fast, range from 2.3 to 3 mbps download and around 1 mbps upload, enough for me to watch tv episodes on YouTube in my gym while using treadmill. I am very glad that I switched to sprint from Verizon. Once free year is up, planning to switch to $25 unlimited.
ur xpierence is not different from mine or countless others here

its just that when things are going well...very few will comment...

but when they are bad....most everyone will comment..

is ok....

If you cancel the line by calling in, neither the IMEI nor the sim will free up until after end of billing cycle.

Better to port out for speed and definiteness if you need to use either the sim or the IMEI elsewhere or if you need to kill the account promptly. See Wiki for how to port out to H2O for almost free or you may have some other small idle account you can port out to.

Note you just need to port out the Number. You do not have to activate the phone elsewhere. It and the sim will drop off if you port out just the number.

For a different phone. you often need a new sim anyway. Sims are not the magic they are on other carriers. Activation on Sprint is primarily by IMEI, not by sim..

I remember when I did this over the phone with Tmobile I didn't have to add any funds to the prepaid account by saying that I will add the money later. I guess it's not possible if you do it online...
Would it be easier (and cheaper) to do this on the phone as I have 4 line to port out for a second year?

Looks like AA is offering 25k bonus points on a new account (20k sign up, 5k annual at end of subscriber year). Does pre-registering do it, or is there another step? Anyone in this 2500-page thread try it lol?
