Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Looks like AA is offering 25k bonus points on a new account (20k sign up, 5k annual at end of subscriber year). Does pre-registering do it, or is there another step? Anyone in this 2500-page thread try it lol?
AA has never worked, at least beyond the earliest days. Numerous people have tried all the offers.

It is excluded by name:

"May not be combinable with other offers, including but not limited to AAA, AA, Credit Union, Premium International Experience, Port in credits, Prepaid Reward Cards, Referral Rewards programs and IB/Lease promotions"

I tried this more than a year ago. Sprint's coverage was not good where I live. I canceled after a few months.

I'm still trying to close out the account and I still get bills. I'm on my 5th try with them.

If you think you won't stay with Sprint save yourself the grief and don't try this.

It should still work, the site is still showing the $25 for the free plan. However, the $100 is now $80. A think the trick was that I went through the link from the CB site then purchased the $2.99 Sim. The CB showed my purchase amount as Sprint $2.99 and pending CB of $100! Then when I got the Sim I called BYOD tel # to activate my new S9. I see no reason why it should not still work if you do it the way I described above but you most likely will only see $80 now. I am sure purchasing the sim somehow makes Sprint count it as a regular new phone activation for some reason. This made it such a fantastic deal!Applause
Oh I see!

Thanks again for the tips!

The best way to close out the account is to port out all the number, just in case you have not done that yet.

This should be fairly foolproof.

Just a heads up to others, when signing up I had some very aggressive sales people wanting me to add the Sprint Complete protection. I get it, they're on quotas. Whatever. I argued with them for a few minutes and they wouldn't take no as an answer.

Fine, add it and i'll just remove it like it says on here. Immediately removed the insurance after hanging up. I verified through chat that it was removed.

My bill came to $36 and change for 2 lines because I WAS STILL BEING CHARGED FOR THE INSURANCE, even after removing it from my account and verifying it was removed, twice.

I was then told I could have them cancel the payment and re issue it, or have them credit the amount back to my account on the next bill. Fine. Cancel it and I'll make the new payment. I was told that they couldn't back out of the payment(whatever the fark that means) and that my only option was to credit my account.

So instead of a FREE plan without insurance on phones I absolutely do not need insurance on, I was charged for it and will supposedly receive a credit on my next bills. Needless to say I don't believe a word I'm hearing from these CS reps.

That sucks! I would never trust the sprint reps.

Did you check after you cancelled your insurance, in your account services, that it did not show sprint insurance plan? I signed up recently, and I had sprint insurance originally added. It also showed up under my account services. I did chat with a rep and rep said it was removed. I went back to my account online and now it no longer showed sprint insurance. I did same last year as well and had the same experience.

I would advise everyone to go to your account online and ensure it doesn't show the insurance plan under your line. Perhaps SS it, so that you can argue with Sprint later on should they charge you.

I absolutely did. I checked immediately and it was not showing up, in addition I checked on the My Sprint app and its not on there either. My bill was still reflecting that both lines were still being charged for it. So I contacted chat again and they assured me that it was taken off both lines. GREAT.

Except that they still charged me for it.

So the fear of them charging you $0 and then filing bankruptcy is the big fear?

So seeing as how Sprint does a credit check? Me and wife each had separate accounts with Sprint way back like 20 year ago when I believe they went by Sprint PCS with the red logo. I remember paying Sprint off for final bill but I think the idiots still reported me to collections saying I didn't pay.

My question is if we had owed them any money, will this come up in a credit check and could deny us? I heard some people use a trick where they lock there credit to get around the credit check? Does that actually help or work? Also our credit is kinda rough right now.

My plan is to get the Sprint one year free deal & then do the Sprint $25 Kickstarter plan to get $100 rebate on pre-owned iPhone 7. Either doing both in my name, wife's name or one of us do free plan & other do Kickstarter plan. Hopefully this makes sense. Thanks & have a wonderful day!! 🙂😀

All the best,
Ron.
