Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Oh I see!

Thanks again for the tips!
Is this for the Free plan or $25 Kickstarter Plan? I thought Free plan only gave $25 CB & not $80 or $100? Did miss something? I'm actually thinking of signing up for both the Free Plan & $25 Kickstarter plan?

It should still work, the site is still showing the $25 for the free plan. However, the $100 is now $80. A think the trick was that I went through the link from the CB site then purchased the $2.99 Sim. The CB showed my purchase amount as Sprint $2.99 and pending CB of $100! Then when I got the Sim I called BYOD tel # to activate my new S9. I see no reason why it should not still work if you do it the way I described above but you most likely will only see $80 now. I am sure purchasing the sim somehow makes Sprint count it as a regular new phone activation for some reason. This made it such a fantastic deal!Applause

For S7, each carrier had their own model. SM-G930V, SM-G930P, SM-G930T, SM-G930A etc which cannot be moved across carriers without flashing, and there was also a factory unlocked model.

For S8 and S9, there is one common model with BYOD brand-switching and Sprint can accept any branded or unbranded US S8 or S9 model after unlock..

Thank you for all of the information in the Wiki. Have a still good iPhone 6 that I'm going to get connected for my son. Don't have a Sprint sim card so now have to wait for that to arrive.

Total spent so far $3.00 to unlock Google Voice number and $2.99 plus tax to have the Sprint sim card shipped to me. Took about 45 minutes to get the account set up as they are "experiencing a high call volume" and my credit check wasn't going through. They found someone to fix whatever issue they were having so all good.

They said to expect another 15 minutes to finish up once the sim arrives.

Assuming an early April cutoff as per the SD article, yes it is too late UNLESS you get someone else to open the new account under their SSN, OR you have confidence in your ability to get a rep to make an exception to the 45 day rule.
Thanks, comintel. So, if I port my 3 lines out to tmobile, I can port the same numbers back in to the new free 1 yr. plan if I use a spousal SS#? How long should I wait after porting out to close the old Sprint account before using new SS# to port numbers back in?

If you really want, you can call Sprint TeleSales at 1-866-782-8777 and they can sell you a phone for use on this plan, but actually in general it is not advantageous to buy phones from Sprint at full list price, or for that matter at all on this plan, even after 120 days, because the payment plans will require you to stay on this plan after it reverts to a high cost paid plan or you will lose the value in the offer.

There are deals on Sprint phones in SlickDeals threads but you cannot combine them directly with this plan. People do things like buy them on a separate paid plan and pay them off and then move the phone to the free plan. But there is not any more straightforward way to do this on this plan. This is a BYOD plan after all..

But you do not need to buy from Sprint. There are lots of great deals elsewhere for Sprint and Sprint-compatible phones that you can buy and then move onto this plan after doing so.
Thanks

No wait if using spousal SSN and it really is worth reading the Wiki because there are a lot of details that need to be covered.

Does anyone know why my T-Mobile S10+ is not elligible for this plan? I paid full price for it at Costco.
