Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Fair warning, The rep added the Total Equipment Protection plan without even telling me on the phone. I was forced to use online chat to remedy and they refused to waive the first month's fee.
This is covered in the Wiki.

Thanks for the report though.

You will automatically get at the very least a prorata credit when you cancel via Chat or online, which will bring the cost down to pennies or zero.

Best cancel it online as well just to be extra sure that it took.

Okay, got the scoop for porting over from Freedompop.
Sprint sees it as a Wireline so it can take like 3 days...however, if you call them, they can do the port manually and it can take 1/2 hour or less.

1. You request a port
2. Agent process port (gets permission from freedompop)
3. Agent then needs to contact Sprint porting department to manually complete the port

You might have to call in a 2nd time to tell them to do step #3. If you don't do #3, then it will take 3 days until the automated process completes.

  1. Porting out (your final line) is closing your account, so keep that in mind when searching for answers. (e.g. in your searching replace "I canceled my account" with "I ported out" and you might have an easier time finding your answers).
  2. Porting in is required. This deal does not work with new lines.
  3. It can be you instead of your spouse so long as it has been more than 45 days since account closing.
  4. The same phone can be reused. I've exhausted the one minute wiki-reading I allotted you, so you'll have to research on whether or not the same Sprint sim can be used. I don't recall having to get new ones, though.
Standing is the new smoking.

i decided to do the same and ported out now. best of luck.
TKS and same to you!!

So I ported out of Sprint last night since my plan is ending soon. This afternoon, a nice Sprint Rep from the Retentions Dept. asked me why I left Sprint and asked if I would be interested in the Kickstarter Plan for $25. When I said no, he offered me a $50 credit. Funny thing is that I got a Sprint email about an hour before that actually offering me a $100 bill credit if I came back to Sprint within 14 days. It didn't specify any particular plan. So I guess that even if this plan ends and you have to port out, there are pretty reasonable options Sprint might offer you to stay on.

Or maybe ask for a special $20 retention plan including hotspot. One person claimed they got that.

Wow that is persistence, to make 8 tries!

But it is a good illustration of how much is possible by H U C A as Desi so often recommends to people looking for something from Sprint who run into roadblocks.

Its just using sprint chat. Didn't have to call. Just kept international chat page open and kept initiating chat till found 1 who would do. Whole thing took me less than 30-40 mins may be. At one point I had 3 chat windows open.

Sprint Samsung S9+ & Sprint LG G6. Both unlocked from Sprint.
Both work regardless of carrier. Make sure the DUN sticks. I have seen many people reporting not working due to users' error, especially on the S9+ where the CSC automatically overwrites the APN based on the SIM carrier ID.

I have the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S10. Will it work?
Yes, as long as it's fully paid for and unlocked by AT&T. PM me, and I can give you more info.

I was successfully swapped my S9 to S10. However, I learned that my S9 is under locked status even though this is BYOD and i bought it unlocked at Samsung.com. I asked them to check other devices on the same account and they are all under locked status. I'd appreciate if someone can help me to understand how Sprint lock/unlock works?
Enter the IMEIs of both your S9 and S10 on the link below and copy/paste what you see here or you can PM them to me:

Also, buy a copy of their IMEI reports from eBay ($1) such as this [ebay.com] and copy/paste them here or you can PM them to me.

It's not normal. Ask her to go to Settings > Messages > Toggle the "iMessage" setting from On to Off and then back On again. Do the same with the "Send as SMS" setting. Restart the phone as well to see if that helps.
