Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

for international connect, I chat with one person, and he activated it on two of my lines without asking any questions. I have 3 lines but I asked only on two, and he did it.

I can see international connect in plans and services now, but it doesn't shows 6 mons free, how can I verify that it will be free for 6 months. rep did confirmed that it will be free for 6 months.
You can see "Free & Discounted World Calling beginning on 09/14/19" - $15/mo under plan details which shows after 6 months it will be charged $15/mo. No wording in plan details like 6 months free. I activated yesterday. So it is showing 9/14/19 as 6 months end date.

Thank you, I'll look through it tomorrow at work if I can.
Wife has been using a G5 on the Sprint deal for a year (and I have a G4). They work just fine, but most G4s bootloop eventually.

A poster over at XDA Forums recommends using Nova Launcher:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-note-8/themes/hotspot-mod-root-t3676848/post76700783#... [xda-developers.com]

For those who can use Shortcut Master Lite it is available here below as an apk to sideload or you can buy the full version at $5.48 on Google Play:

https://apkpure.com/shortcut-mast...aster.lite

OR

https://shortcut-master-lite.en.u...om/android

For those who have a rooted Android phone or have the ability to root a rootable Android phone, like for example the Nexus 5 or other phones, etc., this app below can make those phones like hotspot phones since you'll be using data on the phone as if the phone is itself using the data:

https://play.google.com/store/app...r&hl=en_US

Again, the above WiFi Tether Router app requires a rooted phone, and it is a paid app, $2.99 I think.

Another way that has been discussed in detail here over the course of the past 2 years is the PDANet+ app. Search this thread for more on it.

According to the XDA Forums, Samsung phones like the S8/S8+/S9/S9+ and others are rootable to a certain extent.
Also search for "rootable samsung phones" on Google.
But attempting to root any phone requires way above average ability and in some cases nerves of steel!
Bricking a phone is not unusual!
Any idea how to add wifi hotspot on moto x4 or z2 force? I've got it working on Samsung Galaxy S8 using shortcutmaster lite but on the moto's the "apps available" looks different. Don't see the "LTE settings".

I have note 8 and I was checking and able to add new APN. Still do I need to make changes using above method? or can I add a new APN which can enable hotspot feature. If a new APN can help, what are the settings that I need to do?

Thanks.

Are you on Sprint? Just follow the giude below.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/...t-t3675986

My Sprint plan does not allow me to add a new APN or configure the existing APN without following the procedure in the link. But if you are able to, then just add the additional "DUN" to the line specified in the steps in the link and you should be good to go.

Why don't you just change the old APN's as suggested.

The 1 year BYOD unlimited. It does not allow me to change the existing APNs or to even add another one. Using shortcutmaster lite, I can modify the existing APN on galaxy s8. I also want to do something similar for my Moto X4 and Z2 but I'm not sure what setting to modify in those cases to get to the APN menu.

~3/12/19. While there is no official word from Sprint yet.. slickdeal staff/mods/writers suggest no more new sign ups after 4/4/19. This offer will not be extended again. Existing plans will remain active for one year from your sign-up date (promotion discount will be complete in full on 4/4/2020). Read about it here https://slickdeals.net/article/list/sprint-free-year-of-unlimited-service-promotion/?src=article_fp_module_mw

I see this in the wiki and have a question.
I have successfully signed up for the plan a couple of days ago and would like to add another line at the end of April. Will I be able to do it or do I need to do it before 04/04/2019? Thanks.

There is a workaround on the Moto phones....
You can turn airplane mode on.....
Then turn airplane mode off....
Then quickly....turn on your mobile hotspot...

I can only add new apn, existing apn's are disabled and cannot edit them.

EDIT: I just added a new apn and added DUN in apn type. and hotspot is working fine now. no errors.

will sprint treat this as hotspot or as normal data usage? what is the difference between using this and a hotspot app with wifi direct conn in terms of data usage.

I've been on this plan since last July, I'm thinking about porting out right now and then starting a new sprint account on this promotion under my wife's SSN (have the whole family on this). I know that will work, but I do have a couple questions:

1. Which carrier should I port out to? (what will be the cheapest way to do it)
2. Can I keep my existing sprint sim cards for all the phones, or will I need to get new sim cards?

Thanks!

1. you can try t-mobile (read wiki)
2. sprint sims can be re-used so there is no issue in keeping them in phone and re-use.
