Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I agree, you would not know. But we do!

It's probably a stupid marketing decision - they are trying to attract people from other carriers who would not have Sprint phones. They do not want to attract the attention of existing Sprint customers who would have Sprint phones and would be downgrading plans..

But it does say in one place elsewhere that you can also use any current Sprint phone. And in fact they will accept them. I have even activated Sprint flip phones.

By the way, I believe what was meant in the earlier reply was that lots of people are using Sprint V20's and there are lots of mentions of that in this thread if you search it.

Thanks, Reps and understood....but as a big fan of the V20 and never a Sprint customer I read the updated 3/11/19 compatibility list and was hoping there was someone who found a work around.

Have a Used Like New Sprint V20 for $80 arriving tomorrow (Thanks to SD) in hopes of getting in on the Sprint Free Year of Service.

Excellent!

It should go on fine.

You will need the exact correct sim which is the widely-available xxxxxx416Q as I read the chart. It is even in
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/sear...&keys=keys

for 99 cents.

I just placed an order for a single line to be ported over with this promotion. The sales rep was very pushy regarding the Sprint Complete Care insurance package @ $15 a month. I repeatedly and explicitly told her I did not want it. I also confirmed with her multiple times that it was not going to be added. I got an e-mail with my order summary and it looked good, I was still on the phone with her at this point. She said she was going to transfer me to another department to complete my order, right before she did I got another e-mail with another summary. This e-mail summary, contained an extra $15 for the complete care. She had transferred me to the Sprint Complete Care department to set it up.

She added Sprint Complete Care to my account even though I repeatedly asked her not to. I spent another 40 mins on the phone being transferred around before I was told it was removed and hopefully will be reflected in my next statement.

I don't even have an active line yet and we're already off on the wrong foot. Please check your e-mail after the call to make sure they don't add it if you didn't want it!

I've been on the phone for 1 hr 45 mins and i'm being told the 5th person I talked to who said she removed Sprint Complete Care may not have. The 6th person i'm talking to now in the complaints department still see's that I have complete care on my line ...

This is going to sound super crazy....
But is posible that my same phone number call another people without me knowing....
I'm asking because random people have call me telling me I call them...
Some body know about this?
Sure. It's "spoof" calling. Spammers hijack phone numbers and call thousands of people.
Our legislators are far too busy to be bothered putting a stop to it.
Infuriating

Personally I would suggest
- do not waste time arguing with the sales reps - just let then put it on
- then after you hang up, cancel it once by Chat afterward and keep a transcript in case needed in a few days or at end of month.I would not check too often.

Or cancel it online if you are technically oriented.

They are in the wrong, and you are in the right, but I would not spend more time on it than is really needed.

I'm a fan too. The G4 fiasco was unfortunate. I am playing around with a G3 presently. Sprint version. Wifi calling works great.
LG and Sprint. Possibly the two most hated brands in telephony history

I had a similar experience with the dumb sprint care. I can see why this service is free, I've spent 2 hours on the phone to get this set up and my phone still has no service for reasons unknown to the Sprint folks. I've used 4 other phone services before and they were all super easy to port a number in and sign up, but not with Sprint. I shouldn't have wasted my time and just got a cheap Red Pocket plan and saved 2 hours of my life.

~3/12/19. While there is no official word from Sprint yet.. slickdeal staff/mods/writers suggest no more new sign ups after 4/4/19. This offer will not be extended again. Existing plans will remain active for one year from your sign-up date (promotion discount will be complete in full on 4/4/2020). Read about it here https://slickdeals.net/article/list/sprint-free-year-of-unlimited-service-promotion/?src=article_fp_module_mw

I see this in the wiki and have a question.
I have successfully signed up for the plan a couple of days ago and would like to add another line at the end of April. Will I be able to do it or do I need to do it before 04/04/2019? Thanks.
no one knows.
to be safe..best to add it ASAP (now even) or at least before 4/4

dont risk 1 year for 1 month

I've been on this plan since last July, I'm thinking about porting out right now and then starting a new sprint account on this promotion under my wife's SSN (have the whole family on this). I know that will work, but I do have a couple questions:

1. Which carrier should I port out to? (what will be the cheapest way to do it)
2. Can I keep my existing sprint sim cards for all the phones, or will I need to get new sim cards?

Thanks!
