Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Under sprint community search for "Why won't Sprint add compatible S8 to its database" from March 2018.

Looks like they blocked the port in from online. I did not receive any email or card was not charged.
Did anyone try t-mobile port in using ebay Digital SIM in the last two days?
Yesterday i submitted one order no information and card got charged. Today 2nd order placed and same issue. Customer service has no clue.

I have. Tried online and number never ported even though it gave me an account number and confirmation message, etc. and $3 charge. Waited a few hours and nothing so I called. Pulled up my account and said there was an error and they had to start from scratch. Rep set it all up charged my card and again nothing. Called this morning and after giving them Fi account # I literally was disconnected from call since the port happened immediately. Cost me $6 but no biggie. You have to call, there's no way around it.

Yes. I flashed it with latest version of Xfinity firmware about a year ago and it does switch carrier branding when I pop in a SIM. Have tested it to work with ATT, Xfinity and Tmobile.

I guess its some stupid database somewhere. I am pretty sure the device itself should be 100% compatible with Sprint's network, but their weird process of having to pass thru their stupid program before they can activate is blocking me here Frown

Will see if I really need this service. Was hoping to port out the Xfinity line before I cancel their services, but I am not very sure I really need the second line.
My primary line has a CRU ATT plan which gives me unlimited data, but 4c/min daytime calling unless I call other att mobile lines. So was hoping to use this for calling, especially for long phone meetings.
Seeing as it now looks as if Cricket phones are just not in the S8 IMEI database supplied to Sprint by Samsung (probably at Cricket's requesty) , as per oimaster, you can get Sprint Community or a corporate store or Sprint staff on reddit to add it. Any of these can do it.

Thanks for the update. When you called the rep, can we still use the digital SIM bought from ebay? If they send text message for verification, i can't do it as we don't have physical SIM.

Pay as You go plan is only $3 plus tax right? I wonder why it was $6 for you

I have done it both ways. It can be the same or different - no matter.

But the Sprint online username must be unique. This username can be your email address or something else . But if it is the same (email address or otherwise) then it will be rejected.

I am stuck and definitely could use your advice. I have an AT&T locked XR but want to port to sprint before the 4th. I am okay to port the number to a moto, but will AT&T unlock the device when the account is closed? Or do I have to plan to sell the XR locked to AT&T?

$6 because I got charged twice. Yes the virtual Ebay SIM # will work to get your number over but your phone probably won't function. (at least mine didn't) Just be sure to ask what your account # is before you hang up the phone with them. When you have that and your PIN you created when you set up T-Mo account, call Sprint as soon as your number is ported.

I am trying to use an unlocked Google Fi phone with this plan and just ported over my number and I received the Welcome to Sprint email that port in has been successful.
I inserted the sprint SIM but whenever I try to place an outbound call it a voice prompt is telling me sprint is connecting you to an external operator where you can complete an outbound call using either a credit card etc..... I hung up
Anyone with similar experience ? What is this about any clue?
Thanks

Whether porting in or out, you always need account number and pin.

You didn't list your phone model so it's hard to help you out but first, I suggest reading the wiki for instructions on how to activate your phone.

Had same issue even after porting. Updated prl and device config in network-mobile network-carrier settings. Restarted device and it then worked fine for me.

Had same issue.. Wish I could have read other posts and asked cs about account number before hanging up..
