Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

here's a suspicion- I transferred 4 lines total; 1 then 2, then 1 (diff days, diff reps). the only times that I got charged $3, was when the account number was random, and NOT the 1+ph. When I didn't get charged $3, it was 1+ph. I would also suggest to people to NOT do it online. I kept getting errors and having to call and even when it went through once, it didn't do it properly and I ended up calling anyway. I would just call 877.778.2106 and say "I want to sign up for the pay as you go plan over the phone, can you help me?" if they try to transfer or don't say yes right away, just hang up and call again.

Thanks to everyone who wrote the wiki and made it simple. anyone who wants specific help, feel free to DM me and I will try to help. I don't know complicated scenarios, but for a basic sprint to tmobile to sprint- I got it down.

Sprint customer care is very unprofessional. I was planning to add 2nd line, but after talking to the agent, I decided not to. I will stay only as long they provide me this free service

Phone rep said the SIM for the LG G5 is OOS. All the Sprint stores around me don't have it either. I found out the part # and searched Ebay, and I see this listing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SPRINT-N...2412265864 But the seller says the SIM is only for testing and not for activations. I thought Sprint SIM's are reusable? Can I use this for activation?

In what way were they unprofessional?

If they were just pushing the Sprint Complete, it is best to take it, then cancel by Chat later. That way, everything stays nice and friendly.

What I say to them is: "Well I do not really need it, but if it helps you, you can add it and I will probably cancel it later."

He was absolutely fine with that and very happy.

Win-win!

He even said "oh that's great and you can cancel it up to a month later and not be charged."

Of course I completely ignored the part about the month and cancelled it immediately after hanging up the phone.

They are just trying to keep their call center supervisors happy. They do not care if you cancel it later via another department (namely Chat)..

so there's a way to go to tmobile and back without paying the $3 for the pay as you go plan? Interesting. messaged you for more details, thanks!

Just signed up for my second year (wife signed up this time). Thanks to everyone for keeping this updated. Call with Sprint was a 2.5 hour mess but there was no pushing any other services.

I am trying to use an unlocked Google Fi phone with this plan and just ported over my number and I received the Welcome to Sprint email that port in has been successful.
I inserted the sprint SIM but whenever I try to place an outbound call it a voice prompt is telling me sprint is connecting you to an external operator where you can complete an outbound call using either a credit card etc..... I hung up
Anyone with similar experience ? What is this about any clue?
Thanks
Profile needs to be updated in your phone. Chat with Sprint tech support or call them. They will fix it.

In fact, there is one number you need to dial-in which will automatically update. ##72786# (Someone provided in earlier posts)
I don't remember that number.

Other option is to do Network Reset if it is iphone. After phone restart it should work

I just finished activating it.

I actually had hard time understanding the instruction on the thread, so just in case someone experiences the same, I'm writing what I did:

1. I paid off my EIP for my T-Mobile Galaxies.
2. The instruction says to purchase Sim cards, but I didn't. I just called Sprint straight.
3. After 30 mins of conversations, I was managed to set up an account for Sprint. I also ordered my sim cards (2 for my wife and myself). They waived everything, and I was charged $6.40 for two sim cards.
4. I received my sim card today, and called the same number to activate.
5. About 40 mins of conversations, everything was taken care of. They actually sold $15 protection plan. I refused to get it, but they wouldn't process it. So, I just took it.
6. I inserted Sim cards, and after about 2-3 mins, I've got a message saying the device is ready for the new sims.
7. It installed all the apps/necessary stuffs. It restarted couple times and took about 10+ mins to completely set up.
8. Now I'm done!
9. Right after it's activated, I signed up for an online acct and chatted with the rep to get rid of the protection plans
10. My bill says $0.00 with autopay. It's good till 30 Apr 19.

Hope this help someone!

What is EIP? What is Sprint straight? Why is your bill $0 until April 30th 2019? Where do I get the SIM from? When is this deal over? What number did you call? What information do I need to Port from T-Mobile? What number do you call for T-Mobile?

Sorry if I confused you. Basically, I just paid off my device to completely own it. EIP is the amount you owe for devices. The instruction was saying as you need to purchase your own sim cards before contacting them. However, I just called them straightly without purchasing sims. I actually purchased through them. The thread says the plan should be free till the 1 year after the activation, but the rep and my bill say it is free til April 30th. According to the thread, last day to sign up is 4 Apr 19.

I called the number on the thread: 866-782-8777. I didn't call T-Mobile at all. Only info they require are your account number for T-Mobile and PIN (T-Mobile Account's).

Otherwise they will ask to talk to your wife and every time you get transferred they will ask again to talk to your wife....just be her.
There is no need to lie about anything in this deal ever. New SS number will require a new credit check. Wife should be in the room when re-signing just for that portion of the call. Simply tell the rep that.

I'm currently on the free year plan, and about to sign up for another year with my wife's SN. I read through the whole thread when I signed up last year, and read through the wiki now and things look about the same.

Just one question:
When I call and set up the new account with my wife's SN, do they care if I'm setting it up on her behalf? Like, can I say "This is my wife's SN", or will they want to have her set it up herself?

Thanks for the help, great thread here. Already saved thousands on multiple lines for my extended family!
Do the call when your wife is nearby. She needs only answer the Credit questions. No problem
