Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Can I use my existing sim card ? That was in Sprint. Sprint associate says it's not compatible..
Yes you can but only if it is the same phone or at least one that takes the same sim part number.

There are about 30 sim part numbers tied each to specific models (it is not just a question of size)..

The wiki has a link to a chart of which sims go with which phones.

I indeed stopped by two third-party authorized retailers near my home first. One kept pushing me to sign up $50 prepaid plan. So, I gave up. Another told me, if there is an port-in issue, they need to call TMB port-in department, as they don't have direct access to TMB backend. With tight deadline and the margin of error is small, I decided to visit TMB corporate store instead. It worked out beautifully without any incident.
Way to go!

One thing I want to add, TMB employee could tell port-in request is successful or not right away from their screen.

At least they make sure their stores have decent port capability then. Because they have to be able to sell plans and phones.

How did you do it? Could you explain to me the whole process steps by steps? I am with Sprint for over 1 year now. How can I get another 1 year? Do I need another SSN?

I followed the steps in this thread - https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=122164159&postcount=30543

We have 2 lines with sprint. I used my wife's SSN this time for sprint. If you have 2 or more lines, then use the SSN of the person who is not on sprint now. Port over to T-mobile per the steps in the thread above. And call Sprint with this new SSN to port into.

I ported the first line yesterday and moved my second line to this today. It was much simpler to add a second line. Still the whole process took an hour. Totally worth it for 1 year of free service. Thanks everyone for detailed steps.

Added new line this morning . Took 40 minutes overall. Ported from google voice with $3 to unlock on google voice. Had old account with sprint so was transferred to credit dept and they handled my old account and got approved for 5 lines. Line was immediately ported and my sprint line was activated right after my phone call. My text is not working. May need to go to sprint store to check what the issue is.

It is listed on the REAL list linked to from the REAL Wiki page (which is the third post ONLY in this thread) and is fine. Lots of people have activated them.

I know it is not in the FAUX/FAKE lists at the start of the thread which are out of date.

Thanks for your time and response. I am trying to use the same sim on same phone. But they said it won't work.

Do not ask them - some are ignorant - just give them the ICCID digits without asking them any questions.

If they ask you if the sim is new (although they have never asked me), just tell them it is a new sim you just bought from a local Sprint store.

Other than that, they probably typed in the digits incorrectly.

Had nightmare experience with T-mobile port-in with digital SIM. Out of frustration, I paid a visit to local Tmobile corporate store. the experience was smooth and quick. Here are steps 1) locate Tmobile corporate store 2) ask to port in pay as you go plan from sprint 3) SIM activation kit is $25. But, port-in to Tmobile gives $15 discount 3) Tmobile employee will activate and port-in Sprint number on the spot. It took less than 1 min to port my each line. Note, Tmobile can port-in 1 line a time. Make sure each line has its own unique email. 4) ask employee to write down TMB account. Tmobile also sent welcome email with account info.

In the end of day, it costed me $7 more per line tha. Digital sim. But, more reliable.
Currently having similar bad experience with digital sim porting to Tmo and would appreciate some inputs. Online port didn't work, so called them and had it done through rep today morning. But now no idea about the account number in Tmo pay as you go since they are asking for validation text sent to number before giving me the account number. Can't get it since its digital sim. Anyone know if I can still go to store and transfer to a new sim and get an account number?

Someone said you can find the account number by setting up a web account afterward, which only asks for phone number and pin, and look for it in there.

Did you try that?

Yes tried it, but that does a text validation to number before setting up the Tmobile ID for online access. So without a sim in the phone, it looks like there is no way to get that account number unless online transfer worked smoothly. Confused

Oh I see.....

Here's a far out idea - maybe the EBay seller would help for either free or a small fee? They probably have dealer connections to TMobile.

Thank you for the replies. Yeah, will check, but with only a week left for sprint sign-up, I'm going to try the store as canex said. No time to wait to receive a sim from the seller. Looks like thats my only option now. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
