Yes, everything shows $0 now. I guess it was slow to update. FYI, you can cancel the $15 protection add-on in the MySprint page.
Good to hear and if i understand correctly you cancelled the protection plan through the app. Great tip if true.

I got shot down when trying to resubscribe. I had the free plan that ended in mid 2018. During the call, the initial guy I talked to (sounded foreign) asked me if I was a previous Sprint customer in the past and I answered yes. Then after I gave him all of my information and he asked me for permission to submit the application, he brought in someone from the credit department on the line (sounded American). The American asked me my security question from my previous account and I gave it to her. She then said that since I had the free plan in the past I was not eligible to have it again. She even snapped at me and said "If we kept offering free plans over and over again to the same people, that wouldn't be a good business decision, would it?" I didn't know what to say as I hadn't heard of anyone getting shot down before, especially since I haven't been a Sprint customer for almost a year. People are saying on this thread that if you are not a customer for 45 days then you're good to go for another year. Where in the terms does it say that, so that if they try to shoot me down again, I can point them to their own terms and conditions?
oh my
think u just someone on a bad day.
i would of course, huca

explain u tried another service and it wasn't good.
u want to re try S.
should not be that complicated.
surprised they gave u such a hard time

Note 5: The phone reps will push the Total Equipment Protection( $15/mo.) package for your phone. Some reps will not take no for an answer. they will scare u like what happens if phone breaks or is lost etc. Do not fall for these tactics. rest assure u have options if your phone breaks or is lost etc (keep reading on how ) .best to let them add it as it can be easily removed through your online account, through chat or by calling account services.

I know, I was just having fun on him. Hodaddy is most helpful like you, comintel, egog and the rest. Just seen his post lately referring people to wiki Smilie
It's hard waiting for my TMobile activated, seeing people ask repeated questions like me!

Do I need to take out the Sprint SIM or live it as is in the phone?

Unlike most here, I purchased the physical TMo sim kit and was able to port instantly using the automated phone activation system. I didn't fund the account, but used the activation code and created a my.tmo account to try to get the account number, but I guess they don't send it that way anymore. When I called in to get the account number, they read back an 8 digit number (not my phone number). Should I use this 8 digit account number even though I didn't fund the account? I'm thinking the kit activation code may go through a different workflow than the rest of you are taking?

In case you missed it, here is this helpful SDer's post. Hoping you won't need to use it! Leave sim in. Check porting progress in your sprint account under 'orders and transfers'

I'm not sure about using an activation code but if they gave you an account number then go with that and use the pin that you (hopefully) created.

You've been a major contributor as well. I just did a little housekeeping. It's not perfect but together i think we did a pretty good job. Kudos to comintel, edog and all others who have contributed directly or indirectly. ( meaning we stole all your great info) laugh out loud

So I was able to successfully port out a sprint iPhone 4s from Tello to TMo using an esim.
When I tried porting in to Sprint byod, they say the iphone is not eligible.
The phone number is now eligible to move according to the checker (https://www.sprint.com/en/my-spri...check.html)

I ran it's meid through the sprint checker (https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...print.html), it says "Validate your SIM" and an area to enter a sim number. Unfortunately, this older sprint phone doesn't have a sim.
I also ran the meid and number through the byod link(https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...phone.html), and it says the following:
Sorry, but this device can't be activated with Sprint service. Try another device, or Shop for a new device.

Does it mean I need to get the flag flipped from prepaid to postpaid or does it simply mean this phone is not eligible to move to sprint?
Sprint community says they can't do it. Tello says sprint has to do it.
If it were just the MVNO flag, a lot of people are getting those flipped on reddit these days. Just post a new thread asking for help.

However that message is not the one you usually get for the MVNO flag: "...You owe money to Sprint....".

So is it possibly a prepaid model, Boost etc? Or possibly it is flagged individually?

Try swappa's checker maybe.

You can ask on reddit r/sprint if you want. Or take to a corporate store.

Just being old or not taking a sim is not an obstacle. I have activated flip phones that take no sim. I also see people doing similar things on reddit r/sprint.

That's what I was thinking about the message from your imei checkers. As you mentioned and in the wiki, usually the flag message is about the "..one money". It's a sprint model but it's only been on sprint mvno's (Twigby, lastly on Tello). Anyone know if there's a way I can check if it is actually a prepaid model, it been a long time.
Will try the reddit r/sprint as you suggested.
My father does not want to upgrade, so here I am. Frown
Thank you sir and repped!

Edit: Swappa checker says it's on the "global whitelist" and "Not on global blacklist".
