I'm not sure about using an activation code but if they gave you an account number then go with that and use the pin that you (hopefully) created.
Thanks. 8 digit account number they read to me worked. Was able to open a new S account using spouse and ported in without a hitch. Now I'm debating whether to try reusing the TMo sim for more lines or order a fresh SIM. I may be old school but I like having the physical sim to receive the port success text, call 611, confirm PIN code, etc.

myself thoughts:
S wasn't convincing anyone about the "hurry limited time offer" so they used SD to generate buzz...and look they were successful...

ps..i will come back and delete this post on 4/5 if offer ends so please dont quote me..LOL
Like I said, take it for what it's worth. I wanted to get in before the buzzer *just in case*! LMAOLMAOLMAO I was at 45 days exactly to re-up for another year. Phew!

For T-mobile activation that wasn't given a separate account number, is the account just the phone number or 1 + phone number? Thanks

People are using 1+ phone number successfully.

Try these steps as per the link from the wiki:

1)Reset subscriber settings

Connect to a Wi-Fi network
Tap the Phone and pull up the Keypad.
Dial ##25327#
Tap the green call button.
When the Reset subscriber settings message appears, tap Dismiss.
Once the Waiting for activation message appears, tap Dismiss.
If the activation is successful, an iPhone has been activated message will appear, tap Dismiss.
Your phone is now ready for use.
This reset should automatically take care of the activation for voice, text messaging and data, as well as an update to the PRL (roaming lists) and firmware—if applicable.

2)Service update

Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
Tap the Phone and pull up the Keypad.
Dial ##873283#
Tap the green call button.
A Starting service update message will appear, tap Dismiss.
If the update is successful a Service update complete message will appear, tap Dismiss.

Try this as well. Go to Settings > Messages, disable Messages. Then enable Message again. It will go though it's activation again.
Do the same for "Send as SMS".

In the Wiki it says that you can add additional lines to the plan as long as the promotion is in effect. Is that correct? So if the plan ends and I only have one line on the plan, I won't be able to add anymore? Has anyone verified this?

Just ported to TMO with digital SIM by phone, added 3$ plan and the agent didn't give me the account number but he did ask me to set the pin. It took about 40 minutes to get number ported. After that, I went to their website https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/home to set up an account using my phone number and pin, it is easy and only need my email to confirm the set up. Once log in you can find your account number which is different from my phone number. I suppose this is their new system.

I got this message after activation on line just now:

Congratulations!
You're saving more than $900 in the first year on a single line over Verizon's unlimited rates, and you get
FREE Unlimited data, talk and text until 9/30/19
Upgrade your phone any time after 4 months

How come it says only good until 9/30/2019? I thought it would be good for one year until 4/30/2020!
That's what I was promised when I order the SIM card in March.

"Note 3: for services like swapping in phones etc, CALL ACCOUNT SERVICES 844 665 6327. Or use chat, where a chatbot efficiently swaps devices, with no error-prone humans involved." Does this apply to sim as well? I've lost the SIM card in one of the line. What do I need to activate a new SIM card on the same phone and same line?
