Without going into all the details right now, my dad is now the proud owner of a free line til 4/30/2020 and has his precious ancient iPhone 4S up and running!
As if anyone here doesn't already know...

Ones that got on before are showing up as Z2 Forces now but are going through.

I was reminded of this by this post:

Thanks so much

Are the G5's that were unlocked still going through? Those are the two that I have on my other Sprint account. Sure wish the service were better==oh well still can't beat the price I guess but still so many missed calls.

That's some peculiarity at your location. It should be fixed soon by VoLTE anyway..

I have not heard re the G5's. But you can leave them until the old plan runs out if you can spare the SSN .

Successful ONLINE port from Sprint to T-mobile (physical SIM) within minutes. Signed back up over phone w/ spouse's SSN about 30 minutes later.

So the ONLINE T-mobile port works well (with the $3 PayGo plan)

I had a great rep today who was able to complete the entire process, including the credit check, in 20 minutes. She was efficient and knew everything about the plan.

Anyway, I did ask the rep about the expiration date for new accounts and adding more lines to existing accounts. She acknowledged that tomorrow 4/4/ is currently the last day to sign up new accounts with this plan. As far as adding more lines to an existing account, she indicated that can be done at any time, even if the plan is no longer offered to new customers. She even checked with her supervisor and came back with the same information. FWIW.
Maybe we had the same one!
I ported two numbers yesterday. Mine from H2O, wife's from Mint.
I had all the account numbers and pins when placing the call, including two Sprint sim cards picked up from Apple Store.
She was great, did everything under half an hour.
Mint number went live first, H2O after about an hour, but no issues reported from H2O side.
To update wiki - zip code 60090, download 20+ Mbps, but right now in Chicago 60624 - 9 down / 2 up.

Thanks everyone, this is a great deal!

Ported out on 3/14. So obviously less than 45 days. I called Sprint on Friday as previously mentioned asking if there's any way I can get back on eventhough it's been less than 45 days. The rep was great and tried many different ways to try and get me back on but it did not work. So I called back today and got an incredible rep where I once again explained the situation saying that I wanted to get back on because I heard tomorrow is the last day for signups. She said she has not heard about that and that the promo should last awhile. Anyway, she was great and told me after talking to her supervisor that I can get back on and that they will just have to just open a new account for me. So she conferenced in "Pam" from the Credit Dept. Pam refused to open up a new account saying that the Free 1 Year promo is only 1 year once per customer. That "If Sprint offered this promo multiple times to each person, they would be out of business.". Then the rep cut in and said but her supervisor said it was o.k. to sign me back on and just needed a new credit account. Pam from Credit then said "But did she know I was already a customer of the 1 Year Free" (insinuating I was being shady). and the rep said yes that it was no problem signing me up again. Pam from Credit Department said anyone that was already a previous customer "That's a big No!", "1 Year Free once per customer". I know the information wasn't correct but I didn't want to put the rep in an awkward position because she was so kind and helpful so I just ended the conference call by thanking Pam and thanking the nice Sprint rep for her help and really trying. We both said that we knew what the credit dept said was wrong and laughed when I said she was probably just having a bad day. Anyway, if somehow the offer gets extended, I'll try again after 45 days. At this point, I just look at it as what's meant to be is meant to be. No biggie.

You're very fortunate as I had the exact opposite experience this morning. Wasted an hour trying to fix but could never do.

Just phoned them now to check & they couldn't find anything on status, so redid new port on phone & was completed fine in 5 minutes. Then called Sprint and ported back (to another family's account).

So people using t-mobile's website for ports, its going to be hit & miss - and if it's a miss like mine was, it's going to be a nightmare - good luck!

I don't think this is correct. I had 6 digit pin in new system with account number not equal to phone number
Did u add funds?

For the 4 digits PIN, you can set up the online account by using a new email address, and verify the account by code sent to email and the PIN you set up.

But for the 6 digits PIN without fund, not able to set up the online account without message, but the account number is 1 + phone number.

Just my experience. Not sure whether it's truth or not.

I transferred 4numbers through Tmobile. Two numbers were asked for 6 digits PIN, then the account numbers were 1 + phone number. I didn't add funds. Two numbers were asked for 4 digits PIN, but the account numbers were something else. I added funds for one number, and nothing for the other one.

Hope it helps.

1:48:12. One hour. Forty eight minutes. Twelve seconds. That's how long my call with Sprint lasted this morning to get two lines from H2O ported in. That included a 3-way conference call with the H2O porting department (a similar experience to what hodaddy reported). Even submitting the correct info the first time, Bismillah! H2O won't let you go! Bismillah! No! They will not let you go! But the 3-way call fixed it. So H2O is doable, but not preferred. I think preferred would be TMO in-store or AT&T in-store this late in the game. It'll cost more but it'll be faster, and time is money. I'd use the TMo eSIM technique IFF I missed the B&M closing time. ETA: H2O porting department is open only from 9-5 EST which doesn't help matters.

The ~2hrs is not counting the hour I spent yesterday trying to get it done. I made the mistake of calling from a Sprint phone, so I got disconnected at around the 30 minute mark twice. Call from a landline if at all possible. Since I didn't realistically have that option, I deliberately drove to a place that I knew had no Sprint service so I could be sure to be roaming on the TMo network. I left the roaming warning enabled on my phone so I could be sure I was using the better network.

I already posted in the H2O 6Gb trial SIM thread that you can activate them online using the transfer a number link. A free month of service came with, but I forgot to check whether it was 3GB or 6GB before porting out again. I kind of feel like I wasted 3-6GB of good quality AT&T data. But I guess I'd rather have unlimited Sprint+TMo data. Plus I can pick up another H2O SIM for a buck at Target if I really want to.

Getting the account numbers from H2O yesterday wasn't too bad. I just told them I wasn't getting good signal in my specific building. I felt bad about fibbing. You'd have to be n a nuclear bunker to not get AT&T signal. But yagotta do what yagota do sometimes.

Another thing: I POPI'd my mom's $80 Boost G6 play that we snuck in during the loophole period. When I gave the Sprint rep its IMEI, she asked me to confirm that it is a Z2 force. I said.... y-yes. I think HunterOne initially reported this database glitch. I'm confirming. The correct answer is yes.

My Flilipina Sprint CSR kept apologizing for the long delays. She said call volume has been unreal because the program is ending. Do not wait 'til the last minute to do this, people. It's gonna be madhouse. It pretty much already is.
Opened up a new line this morning using a recycled ssn. Everything went smooth, credit check took like 2 minutes, asked if the account holder was previously with Sprint and I said yes. Getting porting info from H20 was painless. Attempted thru chat and surprisingly all went well. Chat texted the account number to the H20 phones, pins were provided on chat. Told chat the network did not work out for me. Make sure you have the last 3 numbers you recently used. Porting from H20 took like 30 minutes with me manually trying to configure the network on an OG Pixel and an Essential. Porting from xfinity mobile took like 10 minutes. The Sprint system shows the reps which phones they can add Sprint complete. On the Pixel she did not ask but on the Essential she asked, and of course I'm a laydown and I said yes. Hehe... Now waiting for a couple more days for my Google Fi number to mature and add to this new account.

Did not want to go with the t-mobile route. Can't waste time figuring out things if porting goes on limbo.

Just go on Facebook, search for tmobile and message them. They will rely within 30mins. You don't need to be on the phone.
Thanks, I've been chatting on and off for an hour or so (while working) with the t-mobile FB rep, and had to open a case, but this thing is dragging on. I like to save money and get a deal as much as the next SDr, but this whole thing is turning into a cluster pain in the *** waste of time.

I got one phone on free Sprint plan couple weeks ago, using the t-mobile method to clean my fi phone for Sprint. Not sure what is the hangup this time around, but I'm reaching the aggravation/time consuming point where it will not be worth the trouble trying to get a second phone on the plan. Frown

Don't give up too quickly. I think you can still get on. The offer will not be extended in my opinion.

Here are two ways.

(1) Try calling the credit department directly at the number ending in 6116 and ask them to suspend the old accounts so that you can sign up for a new plan that is for new customers only. Theoretically they might still apply the 45 day rule but say you need to take care of this or whatever. After they do that and the call ends, call the signup number and you will be able to create a new account now.

OR

(2) Go to a corporate store with lots of ID and set up a new account without a plan. This is a standard procedure for people who have trouble proving ID. They can do this without waiting the full 45 days with manager approval. Get the new account number. Then go home and call and give the account number and they will create the plan.in the still-empty account.. This is all standard procedure.

Try both if need be.

Did not want to go with the t-mobile route. Can't waste time figuring out things if porting goes on limbo.
I think you made a wise choice because my phone is in t-mobile port limbo. I guess I could try porting to some other carrier from google fi, since my phone is still on google fi due to the t-mobile port failure. But not sure I have the time to screw with this all evening and tomorrow with the deadline tomorrow anyway.
