Btw I just bought a used Verizon iPhone 5S off Nextdoor Site for $55 to activate on the Free year BYOD plan. I stopped at Apple store & was given a Sim card but the rep said why can't you get one from Sprint. I just said that's it's a special promo I'm trying to sign up for online and not in retail store. Do they not really like giving out free Sim cards at the Apple Store?

Also should the phone be fully set up with iTunes & put Sim card in the phone before calling Sprint? TIA Ron 🙂
Well I guess it just varies all over the place regarding who will give sim cards or like doing so.

In do not think it matters what order you do things in but I would out in the sim first at least.

Does anyone know if the cut off for this deal is based on order date of the SIM cards or the actual activation date? I got my SIMs in the mail yesterday but still have a few days of service on my existing prepaid plan
Call and ask - that is the only way to be sure. I expect they will have a short extension for orders in progress.

BUT it would be MUCH better to go ahead and do it NOW so that if something goes wrong you can start over if need be.

Question. I just opened up a new account. I was approved for 5 lines, but the rep said if I wanted to use all 5 lines, I would have to add all 5 lines today, otherwise I would no longer be able to add the additional lines since the promo is ending. Anyone know if this is accurate?

I just added one line when I created the new account.

I currently have two lines on Fi that I need to keep on Fi until 4/7 (phone promo), am I able to do the following:
1. Sign up for a Gvoice line, pay to unlock
2. Buy a compatible phone on eBay today and get the IMEI
3. Immediately start the port from Gvoice to Sprint
4. After 4/7 port my Fi number to a new line or over the existing Sprint line

?

Cheers, read as much of the above posts and Wiki as I could.
You would need a valid sim ICCID for the phone IMEI as well - and it would have to activate problem free.

Well I guess that's still a wait and see. Earlier posts from today claim that the rep said you can add lines later. BTW, tomorrow is the last day

Most reps are saying you will be able to add lines afterward.
Yours was probably looking for the commission from adding more lines now.

That said, they could conceivably get more restrictive in accepting non-postpaid port-ins - we will have to see.

Is there any option to enable International calling in BYOD plan to call other countries
There is a plan you can subscribe to.

Yeah fortunately I didn't add those free data on demand mobile internet lines back when they were offering the 200 megabytes of free data per month.

So I actually have nothing to lose by canceling it. the only thing I do lose out on is the T-Mobile Tuesday deals but I still have 7 phone lines left they could free T-mobile Tuesday stuff. I already signed up for all my free MLB TV accounts and I'll use the free taco one on that line before I cancel it.

Once I port it yes that line is done with & canceled. But I can always ask TMO T-force on Twitter to add a new line for me. or I can wait till there's a new promo that comes up for like a free tablet deal or something with adding a new line.
Understood.
OT: BTW, weren't you responding to me on the Boost mobile deal on Sunday?
How is the new phone? Have you been able to unlock it? Mine is barely being used, just some basic iPhone games played by the wife LMAO I have not updated it to 12.2 after reading some reports of it blocking unlock.

Chat has never been able to do signups for this plan and is not up to date on it.

There is no chat support for signing up for this plan.

HOWEVER I am glad you posted it because maybe somebody can use it to try to get a late signup.

Yes I was & recognized you too. I just gave my daughter it to use today with Boost Mobile SIM card in it. I'll try RSIM later still but I'll tell her not to update it.

My daughter is almost 16 so I'm sure she will get plenty of use from it. BTW some people were buying these just to trade in.
