strange, I get the unlimited plan still

and BOOM, there it is, Kickstart
Which still requires port-ins to sign up for, so it looks like the market for $3 T-Mobile PayGo accounts isn't going to completely dry up. Cool

Honestly, Kickstart isn't a bad deal for people in areas where Sprint works relatively well. Mint is cheaper if you don't need unlimited, but if you need lots of data, Mint won't gonna cut it. I managed to convince a family member to get me in on the 1 year promo (my credit* is too vomit for Sprint), hopefully Kickstart is still around when this runs out. Otherwise, it's back to Cricket I guess.

* Long story short: Don't take out a bunch of loans when you land a high paying job in a niche field, unless you have other opportunities to earn a similar salary, should the company go out of business.

Awesome, thanks for all your help over the past year

BTW, what are your thoughts on swapping phones in the future on this plan ?
There has never been a problem swapping phones that you own outright at any time and I am sure that there never will be. (This does not apply if a phone is involved in any Sprint payment plan or promotion, even though a retail store.).

Some TeleSales reps do not know this but that is their problem. It is best to do it through support and not through TeleSales. (A few people have even done it through repeatedly through TeleSales as well so that is not totally out of the question, but they may try to discourage it).

I always followed your advice and use chat for swaps, never was a problem and I did many.

So I wonder how all this porting in & out affected other carriers such as tmo, h20, gv, Fi & etc. Did they profit, lose money on this or gain other benefits out of this?

we are just a very little speck of a percentage vs the rest of the telecom consumers. you can say...we are 1 of a kind.

No need to use chat, just do swap phone from online.
Yes, it is actually better to use the DashBoard, and that is what I always do, but I just tell people to use Chat now because some of them cannot figure out how to initiate it in the DashBoard. Chat is just a lowest common denominator. Some of them do not even like Chat, never mind the Dashboard, and want to do everything by phone.

I used to tell people to do things via the Dashboard, but it leads to long message threads to try to explain to them how to do it, and some of them give up or post that it does not work, so now I keep it simple. Those who know how to use the Dashboard will already have seen it there.

But I agree with you that it is better for those who are comfortable with it..

Will chat do a double phone swap? Essentially swap phone numbers on 2 devices. I don't think you can do that on the dashboard unless you have an extra phone to swap in 1st. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I cant believe it's actually over. *sigh* At the same time, I cant believe they ran it so long! Like many, I'm now on year 3 of this promo 😮 😁 I really think the entire point of it was to bump up their subscriber numbers to make the T-Mobile buyout look better to TMO investors.

A huge thanks to everyone that held everyone's hand through this and that worked hard to keep the wiki updated. Kudos!
