Once the lines are clearly off your original Sprint account (i.e. they no longer appear on the account's online dashboard), you can start the port from H2O to the new Sprint account. I ported to T-Mobile and once all lines were active with them, I started the ported to a new Sprint account within 30 minutes.
My line that is ported out disappeared from my account after about 30 minutes, the thing is, the phone still shows up as activated with Sprint. Can I still use this phone to get anther Sprint plan (under another SSN of course) ? If not, how long am I supposed to wait till it is released from Sprint? TIA!

The phone should have released too. Check the IMEI here https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918

If after 24 hours and still showing then maybe chat with sprint. Could just be a software issue on the sprint side. You should have no problem using that phone again.

I am trying to do the same thing. I have already port back 2 lines before the deal expired for the extra year under the wify's SSN, but still have 1 line at Sprint which expire at the end of next month and planning to port it out to T-mobile's pay-as-you-go for a couple days and then bring it back to Sprint under wife's free year plan. Please keep us update.

Why are you waiting. Do it now. I don't see what you got to gain by waiting unless there's something that I am missing. Sooner you get it done the better in my opinion

Actually today I got a new Tmobile SIM card and planning tomorrow to do the port to Tmobile Pay-As-You-Go for 2 days and then port it back to Sprint under my wife's plan for the extra free year. Smilie

T-Mobile's representative want my credit card number and charge $3 for their cheapest pay-as-you-go plan. Is this normal? Since I will use a digital ICCID to port out instead of a physical SIM card, I'm afraid that I will have no control over the payment later on. Any idea?

Once you port out it automatically cancels that line.

For those of us who already have the free Sprint plan, can anyone confirm if today is the last day to add another line to that free plan?

I recall someone earlier mentioning April 18th as last day to add a line, but some other people were saying end of month, and still others saying anytime. Anyone know for sure?

That is clearly sponsored content for a law office. I guarantee no legal action will be taken by the government and Sprint will pay the scummy lawyers to go away.

I added a second line today.

- $30 Activation fee was waived
- I was told I could add up to 3 additional lines at any time up to my plan expiration (4/30/2020).

That is not an accurate summary in my opinion. Your wording suggests that it is just total confusion and that there is no one most likely scenario. That is not the case.

The vast majority of reps are still saying, as they were also saying in the week prior to 4/4, very explicitly, that you can do it any time. One single person quoted one single rep who did say that today would be the last date, but was reading a memo that in my opinion was referring to the date for finishing off already started signups.

Also in my opinion the contract is frozen and allows you to add up to a total of 5 lines "at any time" as it explicitly says, and cannot legally be changed now absent some compelling special circumstance..

That said, nothing about the future can be excluded in life, so it is true in that sense that one cannot totally exclude the possibility that it could.end today. If the ability to add lines were going to be ended, today would be the most likely single day to do so (since it is the last day to complete new plan signups begun on or before 4/4)..
