I am reporting that I just ported in an additional line from my Google Voice number this evening (April 20, 2019) to get the free year unlimited. Same plan as my primary line. I am paying around $3.50 in taxes each line per month. I told the Sprint sales person on the phone that I wanted to add an additional line. I said Sprint indicated that I could add a line anything to get the same deal (I got the words from this thread on Slickdeals). She initially had to check with her manager for a couple of minutes. After that, the process was smooth.
Great to hear!

Thanks!
If you have Comcast internet or TV service maybe look into Xfinity Mobile too? I heard unreal mobile is only $10 a month for 1 GB of data & unlimited talk/text but they are owned by FreedomPop which is known for deceptive practice's.

Lastly check out www.bestmvno.com it's a great website to compare phone plan's & service's. I've been following it for the last few years & the owner Joe does a great job keeping it updated with great content.

I missed the message about 4/18 and just tried to add a line. The representative and supervisor both told me the unlimited promotion has ended and the new line would be $25/mo, but the two free lines would remain the same. This is unfortunate. I'll call back and try again.
As you will have seen, another poster was able to add a new line.

The promotion has ended - that is true, but you are not signing up for the promotion. You are taking advantage of the 5 free lines you are approved for already, as part of the plan you already have.

I think what is happening here is that:
(1) Your plan specifies that you are pre-approved for 5 free lines
(2) Most reps know this and have confirmed it, as reported in numerous posts
(3) BUT some reps are now sensing that customers are unsure of their right to continue to add lines and see an opportunity to sell them one instead, by lying a little.

Well, given the enormous pressure they are under to sell, sell, sell, one can see how that is going to play out. Unless you are assertive, many of them are going to try to sell you a paid line.

Just like they have lied from the beginning about your right to swap on a new phone. Why? So that they can try to convince you to put it on as a paid line instead, or sell you a Sprint phone at full price.

So, I would suggest, never ask them a question about what you can do. That is giving them too much of an opening to lie to sell.

Instead, say: "I have the old Free plan and am allowed to add up to 5 free lines to it at any time during my free year. Here is the IMEI I will be porting in today as one of my 5 free lines.......

Or you can just keep calling until you get a more receptive rep.

Hi guys, so my one year free is ending in May. What should I do since this offer is invalid now. Would it be possible to add a line using a different number and use it with my mobile? Or any other good offers going on. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks

It is too late now. I was at the same boat as you with several lines but I didn't wait until the end of my plan (end of May 2019). I ported out one of my line at the end of March, then brought it back to Sprint for the extra year before the deadline (4/4/19) under my wife's SSN. At least now I won't have any problem porting the other lines.

This deal is over and the things you mentioned would not work. If you did add a line, it would have the same expiry date as the first line.
As to other deals, we would need to know how much data you need per month and what price range you would consider.

I appreciate your willingness to help. I don't talk and text much, but will need data ~2-3gb/ month. My budget is <$20. Thanks

You could probably continue with Sprint on the Kickstart plan. $25 per month for the same features as the most recent expired free plan.

Unreal Mobile is Sprint based and offers unlimited talk and text with 3GB of data for $20. https://support.unrealmobile.com/...d/3645/

After the 3GB limit, data will slow down, but not be cut off.

Tello offers the same at $24 per month, and it seems they have better customer service that's even based in the US.

You can port out and port back in to sprint for unlimited basic for 5 lines for $100
Also you will get $100 per line if you are a credit union member
Also when you port out they will offer some bill credit if you wait for 1 -2 days before you port back in

Thanks for the help. Do you know how can I activate it? Do I need to port out of sprint before going for unrealm? Thanks

Mint Mobile is extremely popular in that range if your phone can use GSM:

https://www.mintmobile.com/plans/

For a Sprint based MVNO, Tello is popular

https://tello.com/buy/custom_plans

The Red Pocket EBay deals are also very popular:

https://www.ebay.com/sch/redpocketstore/m.html

and you can off get 15% off the EBay yearly ones once or twice a month.
