did you get your problem solved yet?
Yep, had to get a physical SIM (free from Sprint store). Then used chat support to change the ICCID. Worked after that.

so it seems that one band does make a significant difference
Even though it can reflect badly on Sprint when they allow non-BAND-41 phones, can you really blame them ? A customer is a customer is a customer.

Yea but now i will probably never consider sprint beyond this free year, while i have a $400 monthly bill with ATT i could theoretically switch over after trying their service, which i assume was the point of this whole promotion.

So I guess I'm in a bit of a pickle now as I bought my daughter a New Boost Mobile iPhone 6S+ last month with the $150 off Facebook promo deal. Well anyways the talk, text & data is going to expire on the 30th.

My original plan was to use RSIM 13 to unlock it but unfortunately that loophole now no longer works. Then I was going to just put her TMO unlimited data Sim card in the iPhone. I guess I can try to use RSIM 12 still?

What I was actually thinking about doing was to port the Boost number over to Ting to release it from Boost & then cancel Ting or port to TMO prepaid to cancel and re-sku to Sprint. I was thinking of putting it temporary on a the Sprint BYOD Free year plan or $25 unlimited Kickstarter plan for 50 days to get permanent unlock.

But now I hear that Sprint is denying the unlock requests as they need to be on Boost service for a year. So do I now just try the RSIM 12 thing or do I activate on Sprint Free year deal and move her grandfathered TMO unlimited data line over to Sprint for a year? Btw I was thinking of moving my 3 other kids over to Sprint anyways just to save money as me and wife can then save money on TMO bill by switching our unlimited grandfathered plan over to a newer plan or a data only plan and just use GV/Hangouts for VoIP calls/texts.
I ported out the number from boost to Tmobile, entered the imei to sprint byod and they say it does not work.

Just called to add one more line to account that has promotion ending date 9/30/2019, and the agent had to "call his supervisor for approval since the offer expired" three times during the process.

Yes that's normal if you just try to simply activate a Boost phone without doing anything else. In general, Boost phones are not eligible to go on Sprint Postpaid. They are locked to Boost for a year.

People have nevertheless been able to get these iPhones resku'ed onto Sprint postpaid but you will have to research the threads on the Boost iPhone deal for the steps needed. You can also search this thread on "resku" but this thread was never a primary source for that deal. nor was it recommended here, and there are only incidental mentions of it here. There are specialized threads that would be the place to look or ask.

If you were not aware of that, I believe you have 6 or 7 days to get an RMA and ship the phone back to Boost and they are very strict about that.

Yes, the offer has expired, but we are not taking up the offer, we are just activating one of our 5 total lines, that were pre-approved to be added "at any time" on our existing plan.

It is going to continue to be the case that some reps will already be aware of the distinction, but others will need to have it explained to them.

I would reset Carrier data on the phone to see if it still works then.
Also check some of the carrier lookup site to see what carrier the number is on.
Also see what https://www.sprint.com/en/my-spri...check.html says.
Aldo see what https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...hop:030918 says.
