So I was able to get a SIMOLW506C sim. Phone still wont activate. I had it on before and went to att prepaid, now it wont activate on sprint anymore. This is driving me crazy...
I've used an OG Pixel XL for more than 2 years and have never had a problem with it. Did you check if your "data" is on on settings? Or maybe call customer support and let them restart your network connection from their end. Or let them temporarily transfer your number to a dummy line that they have and then back to your phone, and after all these, restart your phone.

If nothing works your last bet would be to ask help from the knowledgeable guys on reddit.

Oppss looks like you are there now. Hopefully those guys can help you. 😁

Thanks for the reply. I've tried everything and nothing works for my Google pixel XL. What frustrates me is it was working last year on sprints network but this year is a no go. I might just end up buying a Google pixel 3a from Best buy for $299. Just wondering if it will change my plan..

Try inserting a different carrier sim if it works or not. If you swap phones on Sprint it should not affect your plan. On my spare line I have the Pixel 3a using e sim and it works well. Using a Pixel 3XL as my daily driver.

I would do a factory reset at this point. Odds are that will fix it. It is sometimes necessary to resolve issues like this.

Most likely it just has conflicting left-around data from the previous activation,

(I knew it was not going to be a sim issue).

You had no calls and text but had data.
For some reason not connecting to cdma network.
1 verified port
2 verified meid on line.
3 verified iccid
4 Ask Sprint to reprovision line.
5a if possible swap with another sprint phone then swap back to pixel.
5b factory reset.

Sorry, but if you have the free byod account, you can not upgrade through best buy or any other portal.

To clarify, I didn't ask them to extend my line and just scheduled a cancellation. The line was extended automatically. Not sure what triggered it.
Yeah, that's what I tried. I only had a few days before the end of the billing period though, so I may not have done it far enough in advance. I checked only a couple days later (since that's about all I had left by then) and it still showed through May 2019. So I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. The first agent seemed hopeful, but she never called me back. The second time I was offered Kickstart but with only $50/line service credit, which didn't seem that great. $250/line can go a lot farther towards making the service essentially free for several months even if it requires a non-discounted plan. I think about the best deal would be if you have 5 lines and reactivate them all with $250 credit for each ($1250), then use Unlimited Basic at the full price $160/mo for 5 lines which is roughly equivalent to extending the free plan by ~8 months, plus it includes Hulu and mobile hotspot, though only the first 500MB hotspot data is high speed.

I'm not that familiar with android but since you mentioned you had at&t. Perhaps your phone has some apn settings lying around causing an issue with data.
Try resetting it to default?

For those that got a winback credit, be aware Sprint will clawback if you attempt to cancel or port out that specific line (so to keep the credit)! This didn't used to be the case years ago but they enforce it very strictly now
Can you explain this more? If I got the winback credit this month and then cancel in 2 months, Sprint will clawback all the credits? They didn't give the entire winback credit upfront. They gave $50 per line immediately, and then promised $11.11 per line per month in the future.

Right - for this particular promo, the terms and conditions says:
"Accounts that cancel lines within 30 days of activating on promo pricing may void savings."
https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...print.html

That would appear to be the rule for this particular promo.

For promos where you get all the cash up front (if they still have any of those), I am sure they were/would be tougher, as the poster mentioned..

For those whose plan is ending, someone on SD posted this deal last night but for some reason that thread got deleted twice. Speedtalk Mobile has a 40% off sale on theirr plans on eBay as well as Amazon. For instance, the unlimited/unlimited/2 GB per month plan is discounted from $160 to $96 making the average cost $8 per month. Their 1 Year 500 talk/unlimited text/1 GB plan is $59.40.

Yes, it's a TMobile MVNO. I assume most people on the Sprint BYOD plan have an eligible phone. The deal is also on the speedtalk website itself. Memorial Day sale up until 5/27

................. Is Basic also deprioritized to the same extent?
I have found out some answers by asking on reddit!
Quote :
Unlimited Basic is treated like Kickstart, as is Boost. [QVI 8 to start, then QCI 9 above 50 GB]

Unlimited Premium/Plus/etc is prioritized for the first 50GB (QCI 7) then deprioritized. Older plans like ED, SERO, etc are also QCI 7 for the first 50 GB, then deprioritized.

I believe (but can't confirm) that prioritized plans are only penalized with QCI 8 (after 50GB), and only hit QCI 9 on hotspot.
Quote :
If the plan says "at times of heavy traffic, Sprint may deprioritize" then it's deprioritized out of the gate.

If it says "after 50GB, Sprint may slow speeds when the network is busy" or something to that effect, then it's QCI 7 (prioritized) out of the gate.

The wording is key because Plus/Premium/etc are prioritized at 50GB, so you get the best effort of all consumer data with those plans at the start of each bill cycle.

Kickstart/Basic/Boost are also hit with even more depro at 50GB, but importantly, start off deprioritized, so they move to QCI 9 at the 50GB point.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...?context=3

It appears that the current Free Plan is now only the same as KickStart or Unlimited Basic (QCI 8 to start). The original Free plan was QCI 7.

The update is out but the IMEI needs to be added to the database (aka "whitelisted")..

There are several ways to request that. Here are a couple:

(1) Call the usual number 1-866-782-8777 to add the phone to your plan in the normal way via a port-in and tell them they need to have it added to the database first. They will see that it shows as ineligible at first, but you can tell them others have added it successful now and they just need to get help from support to get it added.

OR

(2) Try calling Sprint advanced tech support at 888-206-3585 and give them your IMEI and ask them to add it to the database so that you can move it from Verizon. In this case you just want them to add it to the database and then once it shows as eligible in the BYOD checker you will add it to the plan separately yourself by calling the number ending in 8777..

Either should work.
Hi, thank you for helping me. But i called both number and none of them were able to add my IMEI number to Sprint database!! They send to support but the system keep saying my note 9 cannot added. Haiz i waited 6 months for this crap. Never again Sprint
