Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I know someone was saying about an app which can provide hotspot on this sprint plan. Appreciate if anyone can name that app.
For unrooted Android one of the ways is PDANet+ .

There are limitations and pros and cons and better choices on some phones (you did not mention your phone) as has been discussed but I do not want to write a long-form essay covering all possibilities as to what you might be looking for.

Thanks - when you say non-Sprint number does that include Sprint MVNOs?

Ie could I port out to Tello?
Or do I need to port out to a T-mobile, ATT or Verizon MVNO?

Thanks
It may well not work for Tello because that is a Sprint mvno . At the very least you would not be able to port back from there for many offers.

For that phone the method of adding DUN to the APN may work and of so has advantages over PDANet+. You will have to search to see it works on that phone.

Thanks for this information.
I've $25 Kickstart plan now on my Moto Z2, does this mean I can tether using that app even when Sprint doesn't allow direct tethering?

Yes, subject to some restrictions on what you can tether. Windows PC's or laptops or Android tablets work well.

Quite a few people have trouble getting PDANet+ to work because it is not very user-friendly but it works fine if you have the patience and inclination to figure it out.

However if you can edit or add APN's on that phone, .that gives you even more flexibility. Just add DUN at the end of the APN. (I have not searched whether this actually works on that particular phone - I will leave you to do so).

Thanks again.

I tried solution for apn editing for my Moto Z2 (Sprint branded) and Galaxy S10 (unlocked directly from Samsung) but I was not successful.

Tried editing apn using openIT app, SQLite, Shortcut master, Nova launcher activities method....

Ah but I mentioned Edit OR ADD an APN.. I concede I was vague.

See https://forum.xda-developers.com/...9-t3896993

for an example that works fine for me on S8 Pie (Sprint version), and probably would on S10 also I assume.

Basically, just add an APN with a made-up name that is a copy of the original but with DUN on the end. I did it entirely using standard Settings without even going into the internal settings behind the dialer code. It works perfectly. No root is needed.

(By the way thanks to the two posters here who first posted this method).

I tried adding apn to my S10 apn settings.
System allows adding a new apn, but apn selection is disabled
Basically I can't select the newly added apn to be operational.

Here are other instructions in this case mentioning S10: https://www.reddit.com/r/galaxys1..._unlocked/

Maybe yours has some minor error in it which is why you cannot select it. I would check the syntax letter by letter.

Some people did post that they were unable to select it but most were able. I think the best place to get help may be by posting in those threads. I do not know why you or a few others are unable to select it.

Mine works fine although it is an S8 but it is the same PIE version as far as I know. I never had trouble selecting it. I would make sure it is unlocked. Maybe Sprint locked it accidentally even though it is the unlocked version. I have heard of that happening.

I am using it on my s10+ and it works without any issues. My new APN has exact same name as sprint default APN. Is your s10 unlocked by sprint? If that has an effect

Hello
I'm not sure why.
My S10 is unlock version purchased from Samsung directly.

After trying for numerous hours on both devices (S10 and Z2)
I just thought of trying the Motorola airplane mode trick... And it worked Smilie

Thank you again buddy...
I concluded it with the Moto airplane mode trick and that works on Z2 Sprint model.

I got that but Sprint might still have locked it anyway - sometimes that happens.

If you still have any problem is the S10 (or is that working properly now along with the Z2?) have you checked that it is still unlocked?

I assume that you want both phones to be able to work as hotspots.
