Let me check that out now
Edit: it's unlocked. Sprint hasn't screwed me yet
Ok I am glad they fixed that then. I just thought it was worth checking if you were still having any problems......
It does not add a full year.
As the Wiki states: "They will have the same end date as the 1st line. Port-in is still required. "

That is the way it has been from the start 2 years ago.
I'm not sure why.
My S10 is unlock version purchased from Samsung directly.
After trying for numerous hours on both devices (S10 and Z2)
I just thought of trying the Motorola airplane mode trick... And it worked
Mine is sprint s10+, which was unlocked by sprint. For me PDA Net never worked for tethering on BYOD plan. This dun hack works perfectly.
P.S. I didn't call sprint for my MSL. I tried putting in 000000 and it worked. To others who would like to try the DUN method, first try putting the MSL as 6 0's, if it doesn't work then only waste your time with sprint support to get the MSL.

You do need it to add a new APN.
PDANet works perfectly for me on every Android I ever tried it on (probably a dozen). It has some limitations - not good for iPads etc.

For Apple products, I agree it is unusable for those because the password keeps changing. This is a Wifi Direct "feature"
I do agree that the DUN method is very nice for those who can make it work and who like the Android hotspot.
Any plan out there that comes close to meeting the above requirements for under $30/month? Have an unlocked Pixel device so compatibility should not be an issue

The KickStart plans may be updated in July to add hotspot to KickStart.(possibly 500 MB free or 50 GB for $10 extra according to test ads).
What Sprint is referring to is buying a phone from them over time under a special offer. This is a bad idea anyway in most cases, because you have to stay on the plan for 18 months including after it goes to $70 a month after the free year. No way out. They will not let you switch plans to KickStart at the end of the free period because that is their whole idea - to make money by locking you in via upgrades.
If you just want to swap to a phone you buy on your own elsewhere that is not part of a Sprint promotion directly or indirectly, do that at any time via Chat (or on the dashboard which people mess up). No 120 days requirement is involved in that case.
This is supposed to be clear from the Wiki.
Do NOT go by what sales reps say on this as they misunderstand and mislead routinely.
2nd question, winback offer (100-$30activation) can be applied to both Kickstart(if they let me) and not just for regular $60 plan? Thanks.
(I just ported main line to xfinity few weeks ago, my mistake, need to wait few months to get rebate. kickstart would be better for me than xfinity).
