I received the SIM card and called in. They said the offer was expired and then I shared the site URL. They continued to tell me it was expired, and then I was put on hold so she could talk to a supervisor, eventually they hung up after 10 minutes on hold.

I was asking for a refund on the SIM card if they could not honor the site. It's false advertising. Also, I entered my SSN so I'm wondering if they ran a credit check.

Oh that is not good news!

However I would not base anything on what a phone rep days. You have no idea how variable responses are.

I think you may be able to get it, even if only the basis that Sprint made a mistake, if that is the case..

I would suggest post to
https://community.sprint.com/t5/U...p/1055118?

which is where I got "confirmation" that this is supposedly a live offer. Maybe sent a private message to the Sprint rep there who said it was live.

Best save off a screen shot so you can prove later that the offer was there.

Here - I made a start to help:

We need a little more verification but at least one person has signed up (online only - phone did not work for another person) and Sprint Community says it is live:

Unfortunately it is not panning out so far.
I may have to go back to my original guess that it is just that the redirect to kickstart fell off.
Well, I did say "We need a little more verification."

Unfortunately, the person who did sign up online has now posted that they could not complete activation.

I will post back on Sprint Community and ask them to check again.

Thank- great help. I like that screenshot site. I sent a PM to her. You might want also to take a screenshot of Katey's response just in case.

I guess you missed the part where people are reporting that the free plan my be live again. I'd recommend reading a comment or two on the previous page before pretending like you know what the heck is going on!

Hmm. Redcruzr has responded to your query but didn't address the activation issue.

Yikes. Maybe a shout out to Marci is needed.

I can confirm it is not live, I signed up online, got my SIM card, tried to activate it with the link you used above and it didn't find my order. I called in and they said the promotion is no longer live and they won't honor it.

What kind of company makes this link active for customers to sign up for than claim they won't honor it lmao? Their excuse was that link is supposed to be used for existing customers to add new lines LOL

I used to be on this plan, then I ported my number out. Is that account still alive? If I want to get back on this plan again, do i need to ask Sprint to remove or close the account first? What number should I call?

I have 2 lines connected to my account which is expiring on Sep 30th. I do have 1 line connected to my wife account which is expiring Apr 30th 2020. Both are BYOD 1 year free accounts. I am planning to switch the 2 lines from my account to my wife's account but use the same numbers. How do i port out those 2 lines from my account to another carrier? I saw google voice for new number creation, but i would like to use the same number. Is there any other way i can port those 2 numbers out to different carrier and then add the 2 lines to my wife account.

I see Redcruzr finally post-edited to say:
***I'm editing this post to say the information provided here is incorrect. The plan expired in April 2019. The website has been reported. ***

We also now have:
"Hey folks, @RedCruzr_Sprint 's statement is correct. The BYOD 1 yr free promo is expired and not available. We apologize for the confusion and inconvenience.
SeaWolf
Sprint Community Manager & Customer Advocate"

Those who paid can certainly ask for anything they paid back at the very least, and maybe more than that if they are very aggressive.

Probably Sprint Community would actually be fastest to get the money back, since they know the history, but otherwise people could email Sprint VP Marci Carris [email protected] if they have any trouble. I do not know if they were charged $3 or $30. Trying for the free plan on the basis of Sprint's error might be a tough slog.
