How do I find out the PIN? Am logged into Sprint.com but only see my account number.
The pin is your normal account pin - the same for all lines.
The account number is your normal account number.

Thanks. Do you know if there is a limit on the number of Kickstart lines per account?
5 lines up until now although I do not see that listed now so it could have changed.

My plan ends on 9/30. When is the last day to port out so there won't be any billing issues? Is it 9/29 or maybe even few days earlier.
Probably the last day of your billing cycle that starts before 9/30 but Sprint reps are unsure and will give you various dates if you ask.

In view of the variation in answers by Sprint reps, we cannot guarantee a date.

Most people use 9/29 or 9/30 to be conservative.

You need SignalCheck Pro to show the band but for a free tool you can use LTE Discovery instead (which is not as good as SignalCheck Pro but adequate).
What do you use for iphone? I must have missed it when you posted it.

People have said there are no such apps for iPhone because of platform restrictions on what apps are allowed to do.

You can get the free 30-day TMobile evaluation hotspot device though and use it with iPhone.

I want to switch to Kick-start without porting out first so I called the retention line today and got transferred to a supervisor. She told me that they don't cancel line for a future date. I can either cancel the line right now and lose my number, or call back later. Any idea? Should I try another csr?

You can try it this way. Ask,"if I cancel today, when will the cancel be effective."

The answer will likely be, end of billing period (a specific date for you)..

They do not show the account PIN. it would be a security exposure to do so since Sprint requires two factor authentication for any major account change. You set it up when you create the account. They ask for it all the time when you call in to make account changes so I thought you would know it.

If you have forgotten it you can reset it online starting from your dashboard at Profile and Security or try

Thanks for the tips. It turns out tomorrow is the end of my billing cycle but I don't want the line to be cancelled tomorrow. Maybe I should call in the day after tomorrow?

I think so, yes. I would leave it a few days personally.

BTW they are now entering it as $25 after $5 autopay credit and $10 BYOD credit ($40 before these credits). This is new and some Sprint staff are confused as usual.

Just enter your information at Google Voice. They will do the rest.
Porting out automatically does a cancel as well.
