That reddit forum would be the best place to ask but I think you will find that there are no restrictions.
Thank you, tello has too little data, while the party is difficult to manage. Another option would be a mint $15 a month for 12 Gigs. This promotional pricing of $15 makes mint a good alternative. Wish they offer a little bit more of data.

Thanks comintel. That's good info to consider over my earlier comment.

There is one other option I looked at but I can't be sure if it's a viable option. Clearly not as good as Visible(Unlimited data). It is Verizon Prepaid (hotspot) at 3GB+3GB bonus data.

In a nutshell, after autopay discounts, it's only $60 (2 lines each with 6GB allocation and hotspot) all in per month. This could be an option, if you want to avoid deprioritization and coverage issues on Visible. Just throwing it out there...

Quote from comintel :
That's true that it is LTE only (including VoLTE), no CDMA voice or data. However Verizon is phasing out CDMA anyway. And you are not likely to need roaming on Verizon.

I think the bigger issue (that people are actually running into in some areas) is likely to be that it is deprioritized behind other Verizon users. So those who live in areas where there is congestion will get slow speeds. Quite a few people on Visible have run into that. Many other people in less-congested areas have not.

Also they have a very limited number of phones that they will accept.
Also ping times are worse because Visible has special routing (limited points of presence).

But I would say the majority of users are delighted with the service if you look at forum posts. (One can find faults with anything).

You have until the end of the current billing period to find a replacement, otherwise price goes up by $5 a month until a replacement is found.

These are covered in the link I posted.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/...party_pay/

That would probably be the best place to pursue Visible issues.

I remember that someone reported here that Sprint is putting some sort of locking for some of the BYOD unlock phones as well. To avoid last minute hassle, what is the best way to check if my phone is locked with Sprint or not?

Put in another carrier sim and see if the phone says "invalid sim".

This can happen on phones sold by BestBuy etc under the US Reseller Flex Policy which lock to the first carrier on which they are activated. The idea is that normally they would be sold for payment over time, but they still tend to get locked (temporarily) even if they were paid in full.

Since you can not make more than 4, managing the party could be extremely burdensome. Usually people stay there for 2 months than drop off for some reasons or recycle. They would probably would not know till the very end of the billing cycle if they are going to cancel. And from the time they cancel till the time the bill generates you need to find a replacement. You can not start looking for a new buddy till the party is actually vacated, because it would be a waste of time. People tend to sign up on the spot. Then they probably need to wait till their phone or sim arrives and they actually activate the service, that when the party is formed, before that your bill will be up to $5 each party member drops off till you reach an original price of $40. Then you need to find 3 new members. You need to be ready to deal with this every month.

Sorry for the lengthy post on the Visible. I feel it is an important discussion here, of this stage when the OP is dying and we need to find a replacement.

so, I was wondering if I could start the Verizon BYOD $250 rebate deal, wait 6 months to clear the safe wait period and then port out and port in again on the deal with a new SSN. (if the deal is still happening... deal has been going for a while)

with raku 10 $75 CB and the $250 GC rebate on their $35 plan(4 or 5 lines needed)... plan cost is $210 and reward is $325 (each line)

not only free, but MM.

My second year of BYOP service ends 1/21/2020.
What a great run and a truly slickdeal ... under $225 for two years of unlimited service [including the hotspot for the first year] including the cost of the Moto E4 ... phone & service costs came out to approx. $9/mth!

I'm still using the Moto E4 I bought to sign up for this deal a couple years ago.

I just bought a Moto G7 (from the Google Fi deal), can I just transfer the SIM card from my E4 to the G7 ... and continue on my free plan until it expires at the end of January? Will the SIM card work? Will the G7 be a compatible phone with Sprints terms to continue with the free service?

Sprint sims are married to its respective phones. You would need a compatible sprint sim for your new phone and then swap your current device with the new one by contacting sprint.
See the wikipost for details on the type of sprint sim your new device will need, how to obtain one if it isn't already inside your new device and how to easily swap your devices on your existing free account.

Just to summarize the specifics,

Moto G7 (XT1962-1) and Moto G7 Power (XT1955-5) are listed as supported. Is it one of those? Also Moto G7 Play XT1952-4.

Check the IMEI here:
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...:BYOD:Shop

They take sim SIMOLW516TQ or 416TQ but just order the universal sim kit here for $2.99 delivered
https://shop.sprint.com/mysprint/...ndent=true
to get that sim included.

Then swap online as Sam says.

Comintel, can 1 open a $35 unlimited Kickstart account without activating a line on it for a few days? Planning to help my neighbor transition from the free byod. So am thinking they open a new account first, then once approved it's easier to find ways to move their phone numbers. And seems, the $35 unlimited Kickstart does not have an end date? It's not a promotional rate? Thanks man!
