Comintel, can 1 open a $35 unlimited Kickstart account without activating a line on it for a few days? Planning to help my neighbor transition from the free byod. So am thinking they open a new account first, then once approved it's easier to find ways to move their phone numbers. And seems, the $35 unlimited Kickstart does not have an end date? It's not a promotional rate? Thanks man!
It does not have an end date as far as I can see, certainly nothing soon.

However it is hard to avoid the activation charge now so it might be expensive for just a few days. Also I am not sure they would do it without a line and phone.

curious as to u why not get them on your "visible" party

btw...yesterday, ported out of my free plan.(~1 month early )

not gonna lie, i cried a little
Hahaha.... Yeah... We will be cringing. We have forgotten how much these cellphone plan cost. Visible is very promising and $25 a month unlimited everything on Verizon's network is a crazy price. But it is still in its infancy. They have not ironed out some kinks in their system yet. So I can't recommend them to people cuz if they lose service.... I'm not going to hear the end of it! Lol. But I am closely watching their service. I have a line that I have to keep for 2 months to get that $200 virtual card. So far I have been beating the odds. I have been getting good and steady service and all the byop phones that I tried with their sim works. For people with low data usage xfinity mobile has the 10gb for $60 shared plan.

It is always better and safe to port out 1 month ahead just to not get any surprise bills. I opened a SWAC account couple of weeks ago and I'm not sure if I'm going use it. Maybe put my 1 line there on standby. Options options.... My free byod expires this April so I have a few more months to think! Happy Holidays!

No.... I mean... If someone opens a Kickstart and not activate a line right away. Can we activate a line a few days after opening that account. Cuz before doing the porting dance, I would like to make sure there is already an approved account waiting for these lines to transfer to.

I am not sure they would do it without any phone or phone number whatsoever. If they did it would be so unusual it might get mixed up.

Personally I would just take my chances on the credit approval and port out first. Then you will be able to come back to kickstart under "come back to sprint" and I think you may avoid the activation charge that way. Or maybe get a small credit if done quickly.

As you probably know, Kickstart can even be done with no credit although I think it may be better to get credit approval if possible. But Kickstart will be possible one way or anpther.

Did you find a good offer that led you to port out early?

I'm not moving lines til march, but that Verizon prepaid MM deal that was mentioned a few posts back sounded good for a 6 month dance.

a few weeks ago, i bought the $1 ting gsm sim card from BB. (no longer available from BB)
the sim card included $30 credit.
when using a referral code, u get another $25.
so $55 credit on ting for $1.
i wanted to see what tmobile signal was like in my house.

the ting gsm service is set to expire for new customers soon. (not sure of all details).
so i figure, why delay the port by 1 month.

plan was to add a line back to my family paid sprint account (for ~$15 a month)...until i saw the below post...

Ah so you have a great alternative or two.

I do not use much data away from home in the first place so really there will be various alternatives for me including possibly a Sprint business plan or possibly SWAC (I had an opportunity for SWAC but did not take it). I have through April on the free plan and am monitoring merger proceedings for now. The merger may not be decided until February at the earliest (barring a surprise settlement).

Has anyone ported out to H2O recently? I can't find how to port without selecting a plan (minimum is $10)? Will appreciate any advice. Thanks.

so, I was wondering if I could start the Verizon BYOD $250 rebate deal, wait 6 months to clear the safe wait period and then port out and port in again on the deal with a new SSN. (if the deal is still happening... deal has been going for a while)

with raku 10 $75 CB and the $250 GC rebate on their $35 plan(4 or 5 lines needed)... plan cost is $210 and reward is $325 (each line)

not only free, but MM.
