Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

ported 2 lines to Ultra mobile today... Both were completed porting in few minutes. 2 more lines to go. I have the free plan until 1/31/20, but billing cycle 20th of every month. Does Sprint prorate my bill as per free BYOD for the 10 days, if I port out on 1/31?
There will be no charge in that case according to experience of users.

My 1 yr deal is ending this month. Does anyone have recommendations on cheap prepaid plans? Looking to spend about $15/month or less. It's just me, so no family plans.

I'm looking for a plan with unlimited calls/text and at least 2GB/month.

I'm aware of Tello's $14 2GB/month plan and Ultra Mobile's 6GB/month 1 yr $162 paid upfront plan.

Are there any other prepaid plans I should consider? I'm in the NYC area and Sprint worked great for me.

For people who are on those Tello or Ultra Mobile plans, how do you like it? Any taxes/fees? How long did it take to port over your number? Any issues?

Thanks!
Mint mobile $15/month, unlimited text and talk + 3GB

It is under plans and services on your bill.

(credit edog11 for that place to look it up easily).

Wrong. On your bill you will see general T&C for the plan. You have to call/chat and ask for service activation date. Or search you inbox for spring order confirmation for sim card shipments.

You are the one that is wrong.

Service Activation Date does not tell you the last free date. The last free date can be 13, 14, or even more months after your service activation date because they used a series of fixed end dates and rounded up.

So you need to look on your Bill as has so often been said here to see the real date at which the paid rates come into effect and what they will be.

This has been asked and answered dozens of times. There is nothing new here.

Verizon-owned Visible as low as $25 in ad-hoc parties - see discussions in this thread in just the last week or two.

For your service beginning on the 21st of January through February 20th, you will be charged the full amount. They will not prorate. I went through this first hand. The confusion in this forum is caused by the timing of the bill. Your bill for the services from December 21 to January 20th will be zero plus the surcharges and that bill will be posted to your account a few days after January 20th. Comes February 20th, your bill will be, say $100, but that charge will be for the FULL service cost received from January 21st through February 20th.

In my case, my free plan ended July 25, 2019 and when my August 25th came through I was charged the full amount for services received from July 26 through August 25th. The due date for that August 25th bill was like September 18th.

Remember, the services is called POSTPAID.

Everybody gets that email but if you follow up you will find that you get the $100 only if you port back to a paid plan (and neither kickstart nor the free plan qualifies).

Thanks for posting!

Before we go further, could you possibly clarify one or two things to help people discuss this issue?

Are you sure that your stated free period plan end date was July 25? Was that the date shown as the end of your free period? Normally all plan free period end dates were the last day of a month. Is it possible that your formal end date was actually June 30?

Also what date did you port out and if you know, what did did your plan first begin?

(Everybody agrees that they do not pro-rate, so the more operative question may be, is someone charged zero or they are charged the full amount for the crossover month).

If you want to switch to kickstart, you have to cancel or port out first. Then, yes, you can get onto kickstart via "Come back to Sprint" (with maybe a small credit but not the full $100) or just starting from scratch..

Alternatively you can just add a new kickstart line and overlap it with the free plan for a while before killing the free plan. It may be harder to get the activation fee waived though this way, relative to porting out and taking the "Come back" path.
