Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So the best option is to port out to H2O and kill the number then port in using a new Google Voice number with Best Buy?
There are are quite a few permutations. That is one that that poster was already going down.

It depends what your goal is. If your prime goal is the $300, quite a few people say avoid the BB route because they do not advertise the $300 promo, although he and I happen to think it should apply. But nobody knows for sure.. That poster was already decided on BB, so I did not argue.

Then it depends how you want to do it. GV is just one way. You can also get a number for port on EBay. I just did the latter a few days ago and got an AT&T number.

Wanted to share my comment from $300 deal- Update- If any one moved from Free plan to this deal, check for the away days which is 45 days without Sprint service. If not, lot of chances for cancellation. Recently I moved to BB KS plan from free plan and applied $50 new user promo but today my status moved to Rejected with status- This sprint number is not eligible for this promotion.
Did you use same account and same number for free and KS. Or was KS on new account but same number.

Maybe I should ask on the BB/KS thread but... any update on the $25 BB/KS offer end date? Last I heard it was rumored to be April 1st -- which is coming up fast. And remember you'll need to do a POPI so give yourself a day or two for any screwups.

I thought I saw April 3 a while ago posted by a BB sales person on reddit but I could not find it again just now.

My guess Thursday April 2 is last day(bb guy). Since Sprint has been ending promos on Thursday's in the past. Also $300 ends on Thursday 4/9.
They also seem to start new promos on Friday's wouldn't be surprised to see unlimited plans get the 4/30/21 date extended to 6/30 or 7/31/21 on April 10(was extended on 1/10 last time) but $300 will probably be gone. All subject to merger progression which will then see most SD's gone forever with new T-MOBILE., IMO

I agree and I remember thinking he was off by a day. Maybe he rounded.

Within 45 days, I think they always use the same account if it is the same SSN. After 45 days it will be a different account. The customer has no control over that.

This is consistent with their definition of "new user".

The $300 offer does not necessarily require a new user, but does require a new line. Existing users are eligible for this offer as long as they are adding new lines and not cutting back lines to add fictitious "new" ones. Catching use of the same phone number is the easiest thing for them to catch, but if they wanted to, they could go beyond that and reject any case where the total number of lines in use did not increase, at least for some reasonable period of time..

Hey EVERYONE just wants to let you know.

Today I called sprint to close my account and was told by sales rep promotion was extended until the end of the year. No dates but the end of the year so please someone call 611 and double-check.

Lady told me she can't send me any mail with all this info only agents can see it on the account and she needs to accept it if I want to.

SO fingers crossed will see my ned bill on the 2nd of April but for now, I keep my 3 lines active and magic box as well.

Good luck everyone Wink

I hope she did sign you up for some trick offer. Some reps have been known to totally misrepresent what an offer actually was.

We will hear more I am sure

I would suggest calling Account Services at 844-382-3317 for cancellations to get the most authoritative information.

but even with a new number I would get flagged as not being a "new customer" because of my SSN (45 day window)?

Thanks in advance

The offer does not require you to necessarily be a new customer..

It just requires you to "add a new line".

Existing customers are eligible too, providing they "add a new line".

Are you "adding a line" if you port your a number out of your free plan and add that same number back as a kickstart line? They catch that one up front, and say no.

Are you "adding a line" if you port a number out of your free plan and port back a different number as a kickstart line, perhaps with the same phone? They may let these go for now, but there is no guarantee that they may not catch them later within the 90-day processing the period. I am not sure they will, but they could.

By FAR the safest thing would be to add lines first, increasing the total number of lines under your SSN when you add the Kickstart line, and only later, say a month or two later, decreasing the total number of lines. It would be a lot harder for them to say in that scenario that you never really added a line.

Most likely they will go after the most obvious cases. But if somebody does it with a whole bunch of lines, and claims say over $1000 total, you bet I would expect that to be audited and they would look at ALL the timing etc.

Now, if you do have another family member SSN that you can use to add a line, that is a lot better, and so far has been safe. But it is not an absolute requirement, and I do not think it is absolute protection either, if they could show a clear enough pattern of movement of phones and numbers in an "extreme" case.

They have gone after a few people already (according to isolated casual reports on reddit), and I expect there will be more (unless new TMobile decides to just wrote down the past and forget about it, which is possible).

They just threw off a bunch of questionable SWAC accounts too, even months after those people got discounted accounts.with allegedly-bogus employee invites.

Hi comintel, what about transferring a line out of the free plan from SSN1, and then transferring back to KS under SSN2? Is that ok for the moment? I understand that they can come after that at a later point.

Another question is, do you know if referral and TCB cashback and LMCU can be stacked for a new customer, assuming credit check and unlimited plus with 5 lines?

Thanks!

I think some others here may have done that recently so I will wait for them to post.
