I have 3 lines on this free plan that expires 4/30 according to my bill. Is there any type of penalty for porting out before the plan's end date? Being the account holder, what would happen to the other 2 lines if I port my number out before 4/30? Will those 2 lines automatically convert to the 60/40 mo plan or remain free till 4/30.

Lastly, does the Sprint account close itself when all 3 lines are ported out or do I have to call to formalize account cancellation?
1. No you can port out any time.
2. It is not a problem. The other two will stay free.
3.Yes it will close itself without any contact with Sprint

HOWEVER your promo will be extended to 6/30 free for now. Keep checking or you can call or chat.

Just to get some clarification, does the BYOD $300 MCGC offer work on existing accounts?

My situation: 1-year free -> Come back to Sprint $11.12 off/line/mo -> added 2 lines BYOD $300 MCGC offer. Can I add another 2 lines BYOD/$300 MCGC before the offer ends April 9?

It is available on existing accounts that add new lines and port in from a non-Sprint carrier as per the terms and conditions...

Are you saying the Come Back to Sprint offer qualifies for the $300 offer though? I am surprised if it does. You have never been able to stack it with separate promotions. Or was that for the first line and then you added two more on the $300 offer?

By the way I notice the Come Back to Sprint web page seems to be gone. I suspect new TMobile will not extend most new customer Sprint offers beyond their current expiry dates (other than briefly like the free plan). They want new customers on new TMobile, not on Sprint. They do not want to compete with themselves.

I got the Come back to Sprint back in Feb, well before the BYOD promo. I was trying to say my lines on 1-year and brought back on Come back to Sprint are my "real lines" and the BYOD ones I just want to burn after the MCGC ships.

The concern I have about BYOD is will Sprint honor 2 "waves" of new lines? I.e I added 2 from GV, filed the rebate, and now want to add 2 more BYOD before it ends but this would mean filing a second rebate for MCGCs am worried they will find a reason to disqualify this...

Ah I see.

Well I see nothing against it in the terms and conditions BUT I think we can see there are going to be a zillion people claiming large amounts of money and they may look very closely at them, particularly for people who port out right after 90 days. I think they will have to pay many of them anyway though. There is nothing that says you cannot apply in two waves.

I think so too, just hoping I don't screw anything up along the way. The more pressing concern is with the merger closing yesterday, I think soon T-Mobile/MVNOs will not be treated as "external" number to Sprint for porting purposes anymore as Sprint/T-Mobile are now one and the same entity.

Here's an interesting article:https://www.phonearena.com/news/t...e_id123504

Dish has an abundance of spectrum licences, a big entertainment network, gets 14MHz of Sprint's nationwide 800MHz band, and can piggyback on the T-Mobile network for up to seven years, so the ball is in its court.

Agreed - I have been using AT&T numbers for Port for a while now for that reason.
They are only a few dollars on EBay.
Port out/port in will indeed be a little harder.

I think one of their motivations may well be to get people past the point where there are any other decent Sprint promotions still open, so that they are forced to pay up when their free plan runs out.

I believe new TMobile would like people to be mainly limited to their own worthless promotions (along with regular-priced legacy Sprint and TMobile plans for 3 years).

Thanks. Now the only issue preventing me to have the $300 gc promo is that I don't have qualified phones to join. Full price phones are still on the high side even with the cash back. Any phone deals to recommend?

Thanks for the heads up folks! Also checked our free plan details and it's been extended to 6/30. One thing I don't need to worry or do anything about at this time with our promo ending this month.
Again a big thanks to @comintel for going an extra mile & more to help setup my dad's old phone/line last year. Still owe you!
Comintel is da man.... Thanks to him and to the others who have helped a lot of us here save $$$!

The Pixel 3XL is $300 so less $125 for cb. If still too expensive I'd go the ebay route. Google Pixel unlocked and can be used and reused for any other future deals on 99% of the carriers are around $60 to 80 depending on condition.

Mr Uncarrier no longer works for TMO. He quit 1 month ahead of schedule.. Yeah I know right now money is tight with everyone so they are extending the free plan till June. Let's see what happens after that.
