i have the visible moto e6 and i am currently using that on sprint [as daily driver] as i wait for a nice deal for a lg v40.

the e6 is nice and all , can be used on most carrier, etc...
but i dont think it is a capable "daily driver" for most moderate users age 12 and above
...{like me}
What makes you go with the V40 over the G8?

which site did u get that from?

i didnt get that reply

I bought a Sprint iphone from a local seller and started using it on sprint with no problems. After a month or so I realized that the seller didn't paid it completely. I didn't want to flip it but sprint offered to buy it and I gave it to them.

Need some help Smilie
I got credits to my account after giving the phone to sprint. I still have some credits left and I am planning to leave sprint after my free BYOD expires. Sprint promised long time back that they will issue a check if I ever leave sprint without using the credits completely.

Has anybody had experience with this kind of a situation? Will they really give the money back? They never allowed me to use the credits to even buy a device.

Any help is greatly appreciated, TIA.

Read back a page or two. Everyone's has been extended. Check your account. Maybe yours but not sure since you were end of Feb. Everyone with ending dates in March and April have been extended by 2 months.

Yes, I have received a refund check from Sprint before. Can take a month or two before all previous bill clear.

I heard canceling phone service on sprint is not so easy as it's easier to port the number out to cancel it. My problem is about a month ago I lost my cell and can't seem to find it. I tried to port my number to google voice but it requires me to have the now lost phone so GV can call me to verify the number is mine. Is there a service I can basically throw away the number to that does not require phone verification to my now lost phone for this to happen?

question for the experts here.
i am interested in purchasing a phone with this imei

359583091211815

i checked ting, tello, and sprint byod esn checkers.

Ting:
Balance owed
The account this phone is associated with has an unpaid balance with another carrier. You'll need to get in touch with them to sort it out.

tello:
This device can't be activated on Tello right now due to an unresolved account issue with your previous provider. Please contact them to solve it.

but Sprint allowed me to proceed.

im confused as to why Sprint didnt give error.

any insights would be helpful ?
This is the status of the IMEI in sprints system
"Device is reported as being on an active lease or installment billing plan."

As always the best way to check status of a sprint IMEI is to use the sprint buyback website which shows you the actual status of the IMEI in sprints' system. It's far better and accurate than swappa or TING checker.

Sprint will allow you to activate a phone on active lease or payment plan on your account. However once original owner stops paying it could be a problem down the road.

Is this a Sprint authorized reseller that sold a used / refurbished iPhone that still had payments due, and Sprint allowed you to return the device back to them for billing credits? If you are no longer a customer, I doubt if Sprint will return any pending credits. Do you have a chat transcript or a confirmation that guarantees this?

These billing credits are for service only and cannot be applied to device purchases (same as Google Play, you cannot buy Google phones only apps / movies etc).

interesting idea. repped.

i tried what u suggested.
sure enough it gave error like u said.

then i tried another imei that was "clean"
and the S BBP allowed me to continue.

so u suggest if u are allowed to continue to next screen with an imei, then that imei is clean?

Yes, if you have account credit left (which applied towards your bill), sprint will send you a check after account closure. I know this because I have been through that during the 1st BYOD promo 2 years back. I had around $60 credit on my account because I bought 2 essential phones and was charged an activation fee. I chatted with sprint and they gave back the credits for 2 activation fees on my account. When I ported my number out of sprint it closed my account and the negative balance of $60 was sent to me via a check in 3 weeks.

BTW, I am curious how were you able to give back the phone to sprint, from what I have seen they do not take phones which are active on lease or payment plans?

Someone please help:

I called the retentions number and asked to be switched to kickstart $35 plan (my BYOD free plan expired and they wouldn't extend it. They put me on a $60/month plan). They refused switching me to the kickstart saying it is only for new lines not existing.

I shopped around and found a $15/month plan with cricket $1 GB data and a $25 Boost Mobile unlimited data plan. Since Boost is Sprint MVNO it rejects my number. If I cancel my Sprint account today (tomorrow is the last day for of my current billing period), will I be able to get on the Boost Mobile plan? Or do I have to wait 45 days?

What is the easiest way to get a Sim for Boost and Cricket wireless before porting?
