Hi , I hope this message finds you all well. I haven't been on this thread over past weeks, used to be here most of my days when this thread was super busy.. Frankly I still miss this thread, so hop in here for help and hope your guys could help me make a decision.

I currently paying $100 ( $125 after tax/fees) for Sprint unlimited plus, only using 4 of the 5 lines., will get promo gift card in a few days. The service is OK , but not great. If I keep this, it is $31.25 per line with the current 4 lines tax included. This unlimited plus plan have 50gb hot spot included, but I din't find useful. Right now, there seems no money maker deals to port out to. I have been eyeing Hello Mobile's unlimited plan, 4 lines will cost me $70 total all inclusive ( equals $17.5 per line) It will save me $55 per month. Could anyone let me know if it's worthwhile to switch? Any other good deals out there to consider under my situation? Thanks so very much as usual.
Hello's unlimited plan is a scam. It is only 15 GB per month and then 2G. Mint has some good offers I think.

Kickstart and other Sprint special offers end Saturday.

New plans will be announced Sunday/Monday.

There will be very few phone upgrade offers from now on too unless you switch to the TMobile side, except some iPhones and Samsungs.
Thanks. BB still offers it for $25.

I know this has been mentioned on here before, but word of warning to those staying on through the last billing cycle:
When I started the port of my final line, I received an error message. Turns out Sprint locked an iPhone 7 that had been purchased from Apple. The chat agent said the system automatically locks the phone when you use Sprint, but I know that is not true because I had no issues porting out the other four iPhones (one yesterday, and the other three several months ago). She said provisioning could take 24-48 hours.

Mint does not lie about it.

Hello does.

I meant it was a scam for Hello to call their plan unlimited with no mention anywhere on their web site that it is limited to 15 GB of high speed data. It is misrepresentation bordering on fraud.

MVNO's can price their service however they want without being a scam as long as they tell you what you are getting.

Also Hello may have the worst customer service of any MVNO in the U.S.

Mint has various special offer which is what I was referring to, not their regular pricing, which I agree is not all that attractive without specials..Actually I think Kickstart is a good deal at $25 except for no hotspot. But Kickstart sales are ending in one day.

I would not care about Hello's own lies except many people (not you) are recommending the Hello plan as an unlimited plan alternative to Kickstart or Visible. It is not in that class at all. I would not post anything if people described the plan accurately when they made posts here recommending Hello. But they keep posting describing it as being an unlimited plan without mentioning that it is not. I am sure that many of them just do not realize.

Actually I have no problem with people going for Hello's 15 GB deal once they know that that is what is, as long as they can live with poor customer service. It is just that since Hello does not mention that the unlimited plan is actually limited on their site, amd people describe it as unlimited in forum posts, that needs to be corrected.

It depends how it was bought from Apple. If it was bought from Apple under a Sprint promotion, with Sprint financing, it will be locked but you can get it unlocked after 50 days,

But sure, there are also cases where mistakes are made as well.

Thanks! There was no Sprint financing or Sprint promotion involved. The only promotion was a trade in of another device directly with Apple.com. When I read the other reports of locked devices, I always assumed there was something about that user's purchase of the phone that they did not realize and that it wouldn't happen to me. I just wish I had checked the IMEIs sooner!

Same thing happened to me, Apple store iPhone, nothing to do with Sprint, was fully unlocked, upon closing account and terminating last line, boom, sprint/tmobile decides to lock it

Interesting that for both of us it was the last line only! The agent really gave me a hard sell to stay on, talking about how bad prepaid service is. How long did your unlock take?
