I could not find this deal on SD. Hence I am posting this deal that I found posted by hua000yun in another thread.

I am in the market to buy Projector for Home Theater system. Please share your opinion on Epson 2045 and experience buying Refurbished models from Epson.

limitation I learned was USB port is only render Image and not Video.

A key difference between the Home Cinema 2045 and the 2040 is:
The 2045's built in Miracast and Intel WIDI, which means it can wirelessly show what's on the display of Miracast equipped laptops, desktops and android devices.
Wireless can be very handy. Especially if you plan to be mobile with your new projector! Between streaming sticks and Miracast the Home Cinema 2045 gives you tremendous mobility, all you need is an internet connection, or some content on your device, and you are in business!

Warranty (Refurbished model has same warranty. Confirmed with CS):
2 years limited warranty for parts
90 days limited warranty for the lamp

Refurbished units cannot be returned to get refund.

Wow! Great timing OP! I just ordered one from Amazon last night it has not shipped yet. Chatted with Customer Service and They pricematched it for me! Thanks so much. Saved me another $31 on an already great deal!

I went back and forth between this model and the Benq HT2050, and finally chose the Epson, it's about $200 cheaper and by buddies who work in high end A/V custom retailers told me this is as good as it gets under $1k. They said stay away from DLP in this price range. DLP may give better blacks but overall this Epson is superior to anything in its class, beating even projectors selling for nearly twice as much. 3LCD is the way to go, or so I was told. Plus bulbs are way cheaper ($79) instead of over $200

Probably a refurb. Amazon price matched me on the refurb. They did initially say they wouldn't do it, it then I threatened to cancel the order and just buy it from Epson... I place Amazon orders several times a week. So they made an exception to their PM policy, I guess.

They are not going to price match it on the new one. Here is the link to the refurbished one on amazon for $549.99

I suppose it would if you're happy with a 40" screen

for your info, I tried Benq HT2050 two months ago, it is a great one, but can't stand the rainbow effect. So I returned it and waited till found this one deal.

you didn't specify screen size, but 40" for 6 feet is not bad at all.
