The only thing you might want to add is the tax consideration. That will bite into the savings a little by about $40 unless you live in a no sales tax state.

I actually did this deal and total came to around $793 but the free shipping was nice. That generally is around 40 anyway.

Wait - can you buy the Vive online without sales tax?

From Newegg and some other sources yes. Amazon as well but depending on location.

How does this deal compare to previous VIVE offers? Is it better to wait for a $699? or does those offer rarely include gift cards?

I was able to price match this with microcenter but they couldn't give the steam card. If anyone is interested in that.

Do you know if the Newegg version includes all the same stuff as if I were to buy from HTC? Tax is more than $50 for me. I'm better off buying from Newegg if the package is the same. TIA!

I think the base package is the same for everyone, but the extra GC and games I'm not sure if thats like an xbox where it depends on the bundle.

Thanks. I don't think newegg includes the $50 steam GC, but it's still a better deal than HTC if tax is more than $50. Newegg is $749 + free shipping. I was wondering about the free games and Viveport subscription.
