I also ended up going with a Jamo 112 and it is impressive for the price. I wouldn't even consider the r-12 at this price when the Jamo is as cheap as it is on ebay.
Frys had a killer deal on the Klipsch 112 for $300 earlier this month. I was debating between that and the white Jamo but I didn't like that the Jamo was rear ported and I would be placing the sub with its back near the wall. The Klipsch 112 is front ported and when I sub crawled my room and found a decent spot it definitely rounded out my sound and complimented a 15" sub I already had which lacked the mid bass punch.
Sorry- it works with anything with a WA Port (which includes every sub discussed in this thread so far except the Sub12HG, which was designed years before the wireless kit was)
Figured it was obvious it has to be able to physically plug in, but my bad for assuming that

The wireless kit does NOT work "on anything". Only a specific list of subs with the appropriate connector....

I got the same deal and it came with a free wireless kit...and they paid the sales tax. For $100 more that seems pretty good....$80 more if you count that they paid the sales tax.
How's this one compare to JBL es250? Picked up jbl for around $160 recently but I can still return it if this is better.
That's a pretty old sub (at least 10 years old design) and the listed frequency response is questionable because it says 25-150Hz, with no +/- db limit given... meaning they're only claiming it'll play a 25Hz note- not that it
can play one loudly enough to be useful.
The one full review I found of a whole ES system tested it and found it began dropping off significantly under 32Hz....not great...
I wouldn't get the sub in the original post as a replacement, its drop-off isn't a ton better (29Hz), I'd spend a few bucks more for the J112 (or the R-112 if you catch it on sale at Frys) which both play down to 24Hz before dropping off significantly
I'd skip this and spend 20 bucks more for a Jammo 112 from Ebay... it's basically the same as the much superior Klipsch R-112, significant step up from this guy for very little extra $... plus you don't need to be near a Frys to get it.
(or if you DO have a local Frys and/or Frys gift cards or something you need to spend- I'd still skip this... the R-115SW for $399 with wireless kit they run every couple months is a VASTLY better sub than any of the others mentioned.... alternatively the R-112SW with wireless kit (which you can resell for 50-70 bucks pretty easy) is $299 reasonably often there too)
The Jammo isn't available via the links you shared anymore. How often do they have it in stock? Wondering if I should wait, or just pull the trigger on this one.

Pretty decent jump in quality for like 23 bucks more, I'd wait if you're not in a huge hurry and are ok with white...
As to how often- I know I've seen posts at least every couple months with good deals on em, and they usually take at least a couple weeks to sell out... you could always message the ebay seller and see if he knows when they're getting more in though
