Also, be wary of BenQ refurbished. Speaking from personal experience, my xl2411z refurb came out of the poorly packaged box with unusable flickering artifacting whenever turned above 60hz. And before you say it is a GPU issue, my first one works fine at 144hz.

My XL2430T also came in a poorly packaged box. When I picked it up at Fedex, the monitor stand was hanging outside of the package. Thankfully there was no visible damage.

I ordered my Benq from them and as did my friend (both refurb diff models), I also ordered a Vizio 43" from them too. All in perfect condition. xD
Does anyone know the actual differences between the PD2700Q which is said to be made for designers, and the other model they have which they say is made for photographers?
Looking for a good quality monitor for photo editing but I don't know what specs I need to pay attention to.

Both are true 10 bit monitors if you have a 10 but workflow. The difference is that the photo oriented monitor has an Adobe RGB profile build in and a hood. I believe it also has a 3d LUT capability built in so you can load directly a calibration for your room regardless of the source (if you don't know what a lookup table is then just get the PD2700Q). You can also apply 3d LUT in software with DisplayCal to either if you have the calibration tools.
Wow that's a good deal. I think I should do something about the box sitting in my room lol if anyone is interested in a brand new (not refurbished) XL2730 for $400, message me!

They are checked and tested before they leave. Of course no one is perfect. Used to work in that department and i would buy them myself.
Definitely going this route again in a year or so when Halo 6 in 4k comes out
