It will work if you unlock it. Cricket phones work on ATT if unlocked, ATT phones work on Cricket without unlocking. Crazy.

Why not just get a Blu r1 HD, got one a few months ago, build quality is and thinness feels like a $400 phone easily.

I have had this phone for a couple of months now. I like it and it works well. I am sure it doesn't work as well as a 300, 400 or 600 $ phone but the sound quality is good, the speed is decent and it has Android 7.0. I doubt you can recommend a better $40 phone. My only gripe is that there are no phone cases for it.

seems like a good phone for the money. I checked it out when it first released. note that the buttons are not back lit. And there is some concern that it might contain the CoolReaper malicious software, never saw this confirmed though.
